  1. Interesting. I'm 5'9 and weight 120 pounds, so I'm a small guy. In that case, I doubt most chairs actually matter when it comes to my size, but I highly doubt they'll be chairs that are "too small" for me. Most of them would be "too big" for me, but I don't see this as being much of an issue. When you said "the best way would be to just go and sit on a bunch of chairs", that's a good idea, but I doubt I find a chair that is truly good for me at some random store that has chairs. I want to find my ideal one online, and see where it's available in stores, test it out, and if it's good, keep it. This is what I'm trying to do, but when it comes to chairs all I really care about is lots of comfort, and posture support.
  2. That would take a long time. I'm trying to find that "perfect" chair that mainly focuses on posture and comfort. Also, adjustable armrests. Not sure if you bothered to read the whole thing, but either way, I would do such thing as you mentioned, but there's a reason I'm asking people on the forums instead of just going to local stores and browsing around.
  3. If you do a quick Google image search on "Gaming chairs", and then do "Office chairs", the results are quite different. What I don't understand is are gaming chairs any different from typical desk/office chairs? Apart from the design, what truly makes gaming chairs good for "gaming"? Is it because gaming is a session in which a user must sit for a long period of time, and gaming chairs are more suitable for this? Is it a more luxury chair, and that's all it really means? For example, when it comes to cars, what differs an average Sedan and a luxury one? The luxury one is built more expensively, is more comfortable, and even the smallest aspects are built with more expensive materials. But the main thing that makes a car luxury, is its comfort. It's much more comfortable and looks nicer in every aspect than any average sedan. So are "gaming chairs" the same thing? Are they just chairs that provide more comfort, luxury, and is built more expensively? I KNOW both chairs are different apart from design, and one is more expensive than the other, but I'm here to find out, what makes them truly different? Do gaming chairs offer more adjustments, such as the handle, back, and seat? Basically, I'm looking for an ideal chair of mine. It must be very comfortable and luxury, much like a seat of a luxury car. It must have adjustable armrest handles. I never realized how important this was until I had to lower my chair each time I would try to push it in my desk and try to sit straight. Don't care about the price. As long as it's under $600 I'm good. I need one that's very good for posture and back support, ESPECIALLY people who sit in the chair for several hours. It must improve upon posture and be very good when it comes to that aspect. I need one that lasts a long time, does not wear out and fulfills its duties for a long time. What kind of chair would this be, and would this be a "gaming chair" or are there office chairs just as good at this? The current chair I have is a standard generic office chair. Something you would see on Google images from searching "office chair". It's a chair. It works. I can sit in it, but it's not good for my needs. It works, it fulfills its task, but it isn't ideal for my exact needs. It's like So what do you think? Which chair would be good for me, and would it have to be a "gaming chair"?
  4. Not to sound snarky, but I genuinely believe I was not being specific enough.
  5. Then I wasn't being specific enough.
  6. Definitely not what I was expecting, that's pretty much why. Do they have adjustable arm rests?
  7. I don't know how to feel about those.
  8. Huh? Are you insisting for me to ignore your comment, or that you are literally ignoring my profile?
  9. I doubt the height and weight even matters at all. I saw someone else do it, so I was like "eh, might as well include it, it could be helpful". By the way, this is the exact kind of answer I was not looking for.
  10. Which is exactly what my chair is now. A decent office chair from staples. Well, it may or may not be from staples, but you get the point.
  11. I'm looking for an ideal chair to use for my PC setup, but I'm not sure which one would be best for my needs. I'm a guy who is 5'9 and weighs 125 pounds. I currently have a basic average typical office chair that I am using as my PC setup. When I'm on my computer, I occasionally do gaming, browse the web, and all kinds of typical stuff, but I am on my computer for several hours a day. Currently, I have very bad posture due to me constantly sitting on chair in front of a computer screen for multiple hours per day and not sitting straight. I'm looking for a chair that suits the following needs very well, which may or may not be a "gaming chair". -Good for my posture, definitely something that this type of chair would be good for, is people with bad posture. I need one that definitely improves my posture and prevents it from me getting worse posture. -One where I can sit for very long periods of time. This is something I think my current chair is not good at. I need a chair where I can comfortably sit for several hours without causing damage to my back. -Comfortable. It needs to be very comfortable. - Price - Don't really care about the price, as long as it's under $1000. Once again, I need a chair that is good for posture and health, very comfortable, and is good for sitting in long periods of time. Anyone know what type of chair suits this?
