  1. Here is my question. If you can’t reprogram the bios the normal way because the software blocks you would a spi direct connection to the bios chip work to flash a 1060 bios? This youtube video explains what i am talking about https://youtu.be/Ra0T0j5KoAc
  2. thanks for the links. you say "using phone PP gets bigger discount" what is Phone PP? also the second link is for a lga 2011 motherboard and not a 1366
  3. I agree that it is old and would be easier to just build a new computer and I do have a few newer computer but I just like the idea of using it and its fun to blow me untechy friends minds when I tell them that its over 10 years old.
  4. Hello. I have a really old asus lga 1366 motherboard that I think is on its way out. I have over the years upgraded it from a i7 920 to a 6 core xeon and added more memory and a ssd and video cards. it has been a really good computer and is still very usable for gaming. over the last year the board is taking longer to post the bios and more lately its been getting video screen shaking only at post. the computer also has used up 4 or 5 power supplies over the years because it wouldn't turn on till I replaced the power supply. the last power supply was swapped in to see if it would help the screen shake at post and it did for the most part stop it or at least reduce it to a level that it almost never happens. well that was winded so here it is. if you search ebay for lga 1366 motherboard NEW you get one of theses no name motherboard. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Intel-X58-LGA-1366-16GB-DDR3-or-ECC-Server-mATX-Motherboard-WiFi-OC/132460921739?hash=item1ed749438b:rk:1:pf:0 does anyone have any experience with these boards or are you guys at linustechtips willing to do a review on them. I know you have done some 1366 builds in you computer wars so maybe you would have an interest in seeing if the boards are even worth getting. thank you guys much for any help you can offer.
