  1. So i found this setting in my uefi bios called CPU Power Enhancement, which was ENABLED BY DEFAULT. Here is the test with this turned off: Before: After 1 Min: After 3 Min: Completed: The temps are way better but is this setting the same as Multi-Core-Enhancement?
  2. Temps have always been high, a lot of others using this cpu have high temps aswell This is the case: https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=669
  3. Here are results: Before - 1 Minute into test 3 Minutes into test Completed 2 Minutes AFTER
  4. Ok so i decided to take everything out of my pc (ram, gpu, cpu, cooler), then i wiped thermal paste off and put new arctic silver 5 on and put everything back in making sure my cooler was making contact properly. I then ran the prime95 benchmark without XTU tweaks and took screenshots before, through out and after. Here are results: (ALL HAVE TIME IN BOTTOM RIGHT) - BEFORE -DURING -DURING -DURING - AFTER
  5. I have only tweaked in XTU and only the voltage offset, but those images are labelled above. Look for Default voltage image temps. I have an i7 8700 which is locked
  6. I was asking about under volting before and posted all that info, ill link it. Look at bottom of that, there is default stress test (Prime95 Benchmark test) images.
  7. The Deepcool ASSASSIN III has 7 heat pipes compared to the NH-D15's 6 I'll try remount it, but i recently put arctic silver 5 on it. (Less than a week ago) Could you link me a good video of someone mounting the GammaXX 400
  8. GammaXX 400 Trash cooler I really just want a cooler good enough to keep it below 70 Degrees
  9. When my CPU is at max load it under clocks less than base... Also i don't want it to be at 90 Degrees playing games. Ill have a look.
  10. I want to upgrade to NH-D15 cooler and the website says it will hang over my first PCIe lane, will my second PCIe lane be as good? It says the second PCIe lane is "x16 PCH". Processor: Intel Core i7 8700 Hex Core LGA 1151-2 3.20 GHz CPU Processor RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 4x4GB 2133MHz MotherBoard: ASUS ROG STRIX B360-G GAMING LGA 1151-2 mATX Motherboard GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Power Supply: Be Quiet! Pure Power 10 500W Power Supply Case: https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=669 Pictures: - PCIe lane overhang compatibility - Mother Board - NH-D15 size - Ram size
  11. What i want to know: Should i keep -0.225v offset if my pc has crashed while being idle (It crashed while i was afk after i turned it on and logged into windows after about 30 minutes). Are my under volts good? What are better ideas for lower temps while under load? Can i max a temperature in Intel XTU like i can for my gpu in MSI afterburner? Hardest game on cpu/gpu i play is Escape From Tarkov i would think. Specs: Processor: Intel Core i7 8700 Hex Core LGA 1151-2 3.20 GHz CPU Processor Cooler: GAMMAXX 400 blue RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 4x4GB 2133MHz MotherBoard: ASUS ROG STRIX B360-G GAMING LGA 1151-2 mATX Motherboard GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Power Supply: Be Quiet! Pure Power 10 500W Power Supply I have recently used prime95 and noticed my cpu thermal throttling then under clocking to less than base speeds. I will remove my voltage under volt and run prime95 (Benchmark test with default settings) now and show results. Test: BenchMarkVoltageDefault: yes-no range thermal throttling but not changing core freq or cache freq. Test: BenchMarkVoltageUNDERVOLTED: (-0.225v offset) Never Thermal throttled and stayed at 80 degrees. max 85 degrees (Celsius). Should -0.225v offset be good? It has crashed once at this voltage under volt while not doing anything but background processes. 12. Also, I have driver booster I think it's called, it installed a driver for the m.2 before I rebooted and got stuck.
  13. I installed an Intel 660p 2tb m.2 on an Asus b360-g motherboard, Asus 1060 of 6gb gpu, i7 8700 CPU. It's now stuck at boot logo, I took m.2 out and nothing,I disabled fullscreens boot/ boot logo in uefi bios, still stuck at logo. What to do?
  14. I have: https://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B360-G-GAMING/ GPU: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/36000 I wanted to know if using the second slot is worse because i want more room for cpu fan to have better cooling and maybe later install a intel optane. This screen shot is from: https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2488-pci-e-3-x8-vs-x16-performance-impact-on-gpus
  15. 1. My case is a mid tower, and i have micro atx motherboard. I honestly dont know if it would fit, the case is big enough for full atx, but idk if the motherboard will fit the noctua. 2. My asus 1060 has 3 fans. You are talking about thermal compound when talking about my graphics card, do you mean the thermal compound in my cpu??
  16. Yeah i use afterburner and max gpu temp is 92 degrees celcius
  17. Any recommendations on coolers that are not water coolers? (Im in Aus, use these websites) https://www.pccasegear.com/ https://www.mwave.com.au/ Or other AU sites
  18. I changed the link, because my case is older. But i am just using stock cpu fan
  19. This is my case: https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=669&area=en
  20. Had an i5 6700, upgraded to i7 8600. My GTX 1060 used to average 65% at 50-60 degrees Celsius. My i5 6700 averaged 85% at 60-70 degrees Celsius. After installing i7 8600, it averages 30-35% at 65-75 degrees Celcius. And now my GTX 1060 averages 90-99% at 70-80 degrees Celcius. <-- I am enjoying more frames but is this bad? (I am not gonna upgrade it for a bit, waiting for GPU prices to drop)
  21. So if i get ASUS ROG Strix B360-G Gaming Motherboard and replace my ASUS Prime B250M-A will i need to change anything other than my CPU?
