Hi there everyone!
I currently have a gaming laptop ( Lenovo y520 with gtx 1060 3gb VRAM 16 GB ram and i7 7700HQ) atm and use it for some school but mostly it sits on my desk at home plugged in. It plays games really well and also runs programs like visual studio great so it fits perfectly for my day to day life! However, the battery life is atrocious! Like I am lucky if I get at least 2 hours of SOT when unplugged and this can be really annoying when I am out and about. So, I was wondering if buying an ultrabook, maybe around the 900-1000 dollar range would be a good idea, and then I can leave my gaming laptop at home and my gaming laptop as a desktop. One with good battery life, a decent quad-core CPU and 8 GB of ram at LEAST would be good! I understand that the pricing is pretty crazy so I really need to know if my logic is flawed or if I'm being irrational.
I am new here so I am hoping that I can get more familiar with the forums
