Will the 1080ti be that big of a gap for 1440p gaming then? Right now we have a deal on a 1080ti here in Sweden https://www.komplett.se/product/1094965/datorutrustning/datorkomponenter/grafikkort/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-gaming-oc# It's kinda 850 USD (converting it to USD since Linus channel is based in the US). Is it a good 1080ti?

Best GPU (and affordable) for 1440p ?

Yea this is a tricky choice indeed! I mean, if i could have one streaming computer it would be quite nice. But nobody will buy my other parts since the used market isnt as big here in Sweden. I might tops get a 600Euro for it i think (the whole computer plus a harddrive). But then again, who doesnt want two computers?! Kinda always have been a dream, and if I ever go on a LAN i could just use my "old" computer.
  4. Hi guys! My build: Motherboard, Z97-G5. Processor, i7 4790k. Cooler, NZXT cracking x61. RAM, Corsair Venganve 2133mhz. GPU, Gigabyte G1 1070. My screen setup consists of three screens 2x 1080p 60 / 144hz 1x1440p, 144hz (main screen) Right now im in a sticky situation. Im thinking about upgrading my gaming computer to a gaming/workstation/streaming. Now the problem is, im in the 1440p heaven and wants to maintain a steady 144fps in competetive games and lets say 100+ fps in story games (ofc 60+ in the most demanding AAA games). This is whilst streaming, and i cant maintain that right now with the current setup. Now this is gonna be a more expensive upgrade since i need to upgrade motherboard + RAM. What are you guys recommending? Right now im thinking a AMD 2700x for CPU But what for GPU? 1080ti or a RTX 2070? Also, if i go for this setup. Will my "old build" be a good "streaming" computer? I'm biased in Sweden so prices here are a BIT more expensive then in the US but that doesnt matter. I just want opinions on more affordable/good performance thoughts. Seeya!

    1440p gaming/streaming?

Yes i have and i dont get the frames i want. I play on a 144hz refresh rate and on single player games im fine with a 60fps. Lets say BO4 i want to maintain a 144hz+ . Dont forget whilst streaming
  6. Hello! I started streaming streaming in the last six months and it feels that my CPU starts to be the product that underperforms particullry when streaming. My build: Motherboard, Z97-G5. Processor, i7 4790k. Cooler, NZXT cracking x61. RAM, Corsair Venganve 2133mhz. GPU, Gigabyte G1 1070. My screen setup consists of three screens 2x 1080p 60 / 144hz 1x1440p, 144hz (main screen) Gaming on 1440p makes me downscale the obs stream to atleast 1080p. I want to have a stream where I stream in 1080p; 30fps but gladly 60fps too. I streamed very regualary in the beginning but since i dont get the performance i want i pulled out of it. Now the big question, which new CPU should I get? Right now I'm thinking between i7 8700k/9700k and AMD Ryzen 2700x and i really cant decide. Then comes the third option, buy a new cpu and have the old one in a streaming computer with a capture card. But then again, is it worth it for a hobby streamer? Is a 4790k good enough for a "streaming pc"? I live in Sweden and the max price i want to pay for a new cpu is 5000kr (550usd). Thanks in advance for the responds!
