  1. Hi I bought a new laptop and set some profiles for undervolt. But when I switch between Battery and AC power the profiles don't switch automatically. I can set profile pairing but that is only for one app if it is on top. Tried to set explorer.exe because that is always running but that doesn't work. How can I set global profile for AC and battery? Thanks, David
  2. Okay thanks your help what's the problem with the new bios?
  3. Yes I see Lenovo Y540 just dropped the price with almost 200 euro so I consider that too. Also I would buy Asus but now the sale ended and I don't get 300 euro worth of extras so if they can't give me that GU502 dropped. So what are your suggestions?
  4. Than what do you suggest? In the GU502 76Wh battery and less than 2 kg? Some laptop with similar or better spec for 1100 euro? As I read they said it isn't that bad in thermals. But I would gladly take anything that perform well light and big battery
  5. Sorry I don't want to be ungrateful because you help me but can you read the previous 2 message and my xls? But https://www.digiprime.hu/ http://radium.hu/ https://www.pcland.hu/ I am at uni and every weekend bring it home. I use some 3D modelling software such as Inventor or Catia. I gaming on it from minecraft to Battlefield V. But Apex my main dish for now Later I want to play Anno 1800 but it is too expensive now. I don't have exact numbers for weight and battery. My Lenovo was heavy to carry around and that's why I want a lighter one. Also I want be able to watch a movie without go under 50% so at least 5 hours maybe. But you know These are not written on a stone.
  6. I am from Hungary. Around 1000€. What do you mean by usage? I prefer light laptop with big battery because sometime I need to carry it and I want to watch films without the powercord. I don't need 17" because it is heavy. But if there is one with a light weight I don't mind.
  7. Unfortunately they are not available in Hungary

  9. Hi My old laptop (Lenovo Y700-17ISK) died so I have to buy a new one. I think 1050, 1060 are not strong enought compared to a 1660ti and 2060 isn't that much stronger than more expensive. So I made an excel with the main points. Do anybody know a better price/performance laptop than what I choosed? Or just drop your opinion Thanks Laptop.xlsx
  10. Without OC 200 watt should be enough I think but if you want to make a good OC profile that cpu will generate a lot of heat so the strongest 350 W peltier should needed. Interesting I have 4670k@4,6GHz with corsair H100 and my temp is under 80. Usually in the 60 range.
  11. I think everything above 200 watt is enough. So if the cpu got hot on the cold side the efficiency should rise and also the peltier will heat up the radiator which also help with heat transfer to the air. But if you try it out I think you can't lose with it. I think the processor can run in idle without cooling and if you test this with slowly increase the cpu load to avoid fast thermal jump which can damage the cpu.
  12. This could work I think but there is more efficient solution. If you put the peltier to the CPU you can go under the ambient temp. In the old days there were some loop like that. Like that: But if you use like a 200 watt peltier ot more which is sucking a lot of power it just useless in everyday life. But if the power cost doesn't matter this is working. But this is just my opinion.
  13. I hope mine doesn't have any problem :( and I am not planning to do that just in theory maybe some years later when this will useless I will try it out. Thanks for the recommendation It seems a good youtube channel about pcb electronic. I assume maybe the driver is the same. From my opinion it is more easy if in boot they just check all the component are working fine so if some of them die they can just ignore it. So with the OC card use the same driver but they have the component too. It seems more easy to do and more money efficient. But this is just my opinion there a high chance I am stupid. :) Sorry if you get me wrong. I am not saying me as a user know more about this. If I would than there wouldn't been this question about it. Also I think if you design a card with missing parts that isn't money orientated but if you just design the "best card" which is in this case the OC version you could sell that in a higher price and if you left out some component the card would be weaker and you can sell it cheaper. I think this is just a way to make us money cows. Because if you design two cards that would be expensive. But if you design the stronger card just a little modification would be enough and there is the "low tier" card. I heard an old story that was happened when I was little. There was an AMD card and if you soldered a jumper wire for it you got much better performance because that was the only difference between that and a higher tier card. Thanks all of you by the way I got a feeling about both side should it work or not. I am just an engineer student so I am not expert in electric or computer hardware. But I thought this is an interesting idea and I would like to know more about these. If anybody have more information about the topic I would appreciate that :) Also ignore my English I hope you can understand it I am not very good with grammar.
