  1. To anyone that is wondering, the fix was stupidly easy… v-sync on in NVCP and off in-game i don’t get how and why since it worked without it before. But yeah im happy also thanks for all your tips and tricks, i really appreciate you guys taking your time to help others
  2. Thanks man! Will do that tomorrow and reach back to you!
  3. Thats interesting! I actually turned it on a couple weeks ago because i wanted to try win11, but it didnt work for me anyways.. Just checked and it looks like i disabled it again.. Thanks for your input tho!
  4. I actually have no clue, haven’t touched one thing in bios or other programs that would change the behaviour of the GPU from it’s default, but it is the OC version of the card… Maybe it does that on default? How do i check? Edit: Just realized it actually comes overclocked out of the box.. Maybe i could try to ”underclock” it to match the non OC version of the card. Maybe that would make it more stable?
  5. Im going to reinstall windows and i wanted to make it a clean install and completely zero all my disks so that they are like ”fresh-out-of-the-box” I have a Samsung SSD and my question is if it would be safe to use the diskpart ”clean all” command when im in the windows installer, before selecting where to install windows ofc. And if you know i would like to learn what this command actually does Thanks!
  6. I just checked but no luck.. task manaager aswell as my MSI AB and HWinfo all show that about half of my memory is used. No spikes either
  7. Hello there! The issue i'm having is that i get frame drops in most games i play (Warzone, FH5, GTA V, etc) 1440p FYI Taking Warzone as an example. I'm running the game at around 160 FPS and a couple of times a minute it suddenly drops to around 130 and then right up again the same second. It's not a huge drop but it's very noticable. This happens in the exact same way in the other games aswell. Just a small drop in frames every 20 seconds. I have tried turning down graphics settings on all these games but i still experience the same issues. What i have noticed that happens simultaneously with the FPS drop is that the % GPU Usage and Watt drops at the same time (I will provide a couple of screeshots from MSI AB below) and that's pretty much it. Everything you can help me with is greatly appreciated as i, myself can't really figure out what is causing these issues. Everything (i hope) you might need to know is listed down below Thanks! These screens are from a session of FH5! Look at GPU Usage. What i have noticed is that everytime it drops the game stutters or freezes. Even the smaller more rapid drops. I have done the following benchmarks if it's to any help for you guys! 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme 3DMark CPU Profile UserBenchMark PC SPECS Windows 10 Pro (20H2) 19042.1288 x64 BIOS Version: American Megatrends Inc. 2401 x64, 2021-05-25 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU COOLER: Noctua NH-U12S GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB (Windows is installed here, 60GB Free Space) SSD: Kingston SA2000M81000G 1TB (830GB Free Space) HDD: Seagate Barracuda 4TB (2,7TB Free Space) RAM: Corsair CMW16GX4M2Z3600C18 2x8GB MBD: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING PSU: ASUS ROG Strix 850 80+ GOLD
  8. I have tried different games. Tried RDR2, works flawless, had a single stutter but that was in a cutscene otherwise nothing during gameplay. Then i tried GTA V and i had stutters just like in FH5... I turned down the settings in FH5 to high and ran benchmark mode, still had some stutters, i'll put a screenshot below. Also, 3 drops doesnt seem like a big deal but remember the benchmark is only two minutes
  9. So while playing FH5 i have noticed some small FPS drops occurring maybe once every 60 seconds. I'm playing at around 140-150 FPS and when the drop happens it goes down to about 120 and then instantly up again to 140-150. Visually you can clearly see it happening aswell which is the annoying thing. I tried looking at my HWMonitor when this happened. Noticed that GPU usage went from around 98% down to 70% when the stutter happens, it goes down and up simultaneously with the FPS. Didnt notice anything scetchy with temps or CPU usage/temps etc. PC Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB SSD: Kingston SA2000M81000G 1TB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 4TB RAM: Corsair CMW16GX4M2Z3600C18 2x8GB MBD: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING PSU: ASUS ROG Strix 850 80+ GOLD Anyone who has an idea why this is happening and what i can do? Everything is greatly appreciated!
  10. I guess what i mean with it feeling like lower fps is the costant screen tearing is making it look less smooth than usual. I do have a second monitor, it is an old benq thats 60hz 1080p, could try that. Or do you think i should borrow my friends 144hz 1080p instead? If the difference in refresh rate play a role?
  11. To start off. These are my specs aswell as their score on userbenchmark.com: UserBenchmarks: Game 226%, Desk 107%, Work 224% CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X - 105.5% GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 - 219.5% SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB - 83.4% SSD: Kingston SA2000M81000G 1TB - 245.9% HDD: Seagate Barracuda 4TB (2017) - 85% RAM: Corsair CMW16GX4M2Z3600C18 2x8GB - 96.4% MBD: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING PSU: ASUS ROG Strix 850 80+ GOLD Monitor: Asus ROG Strix XG279Q (G-Sync COMPATIBLE) 1440p 144hz I have a relatively new build (~2 months) that has been working really good for the majority of the time. However, the last couple of days things have changed... Games that have been running super smooth before are now running.. not super smooth. I am experiencing screen tearing and random FPS drops/stuttering and even if it says i have 144 FPS in a game all the time it certainly doesnt look or feel like it. Things i have tried: Clean install of windows and wiping all drives Playing old NVIDIA drivers Re-Installing the latest NVIDIA drivers Making sure i'm up to date in windows V-Sync ON V-Sync OFF Capping the FPS to match my monitor's refresh rate Capping the FPS to 2-3 under my monitors refresh rate (helped a little bit but not alot) Turning on G-sync on NVIDIA Control Panel As nothing of the above helped i am seeking help on here. To give you more information i played a game of warzone and ran temps etc. Both CPU and GPU temps were running at around 65 Celcius at high settings 1440p with v-sync off and the fps capped at 144. As expected i was still experiencing tearing and the feeling of the game not running as smooth as before. i'll attach the full HWMonitor report if anyone wants to read it.HWMonitor.txt These issues happen on titles like Warzone, Forza Horizon 4 and GTA V. All of which were running flawlessly before. I am out of ideas and it's getting frustrating, i want my old (new) PC back All help is much appreciated!
  12. Strix, rhis is the other side. Seems right?
