Having a good quality display would be nice, but isn't needed for simple coding. An ips panel display with low (or non) bleeding is enough. Since I will be carrying the laptop with me to the university, weight should be low, but having to carry around 2 kg in my backpack is no problem. Other than that a good keyboard is a must.

Im looking for a laptop, I would use as an everyday carry for university. With good enough quality that the laptop doesn't break after 3 years. There would be no need for a graphics card, since the laptop would mainly be for writing code. I would prefer a 15 inch laptop, though a 13 ich one would suffice. I should also mention that I'm going to install Linux and my budget is around 1300 - 1400€
