  1. It sounds like you have a lot of programs running in the background. Check taskmgr and delete or stop programs that are using the disk. If you want to spend around 75 dollars you can get a 500GB Samsung 860 Evo. It runs way faster than an HDD. I built somebody a computer a week or so ago and put the 860 in it. They love it compared to their slow HDD in their old build.
  2. Go to the board manufacturers website and see what update it is on. Then compare it with your by checking your bios.
  3. Personally the Asus XI Code works pretty well. Plus it looks nice compared to some of the other motherboards out there. The motherboard also stays pretty cool.
  4. Depends what you are doing. If it is just gaming 16GB should be fine even for streaming/recording at the same time. If you are rendering lengthy videos in 4k for example you may need more. Also if you are trying to run multiple ram hoggoing task such a a minecraft server and you want to dedicate 10GB of ram or something to it then you should upgrade. But it's more for workstations if anything.
  5. It is still a good way to compare you just have to factor in other ways to compare as well for it to be a legitimate comparison for example heat management or cpu cache.
  6. they are around still. maybe not as many but they are more common in lower priced motherboards.
  7. a 2070 costs a lot more and the ryzen 5 doesnt even compare. its like having an i5 8400 xD. oh and you need a balance of cpu and gpu. at some point a cpu is more important also 1070 vs 2070 is around a 30% difference
  8. Sorry had to respond, clock speed does indeed help but that isnt the only thing that makes it better. A 1.5ghz processor would not run the same as a processor running at 4.9 ghz.
  9. https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i3-8100-vs-AMD-Ryzen-3-1200/3942vs3931 Personally I would still go with intel just because of the higher clock speed.

It's a little out of your budget but I just sold this PC to somebody and they love it.
  11. Some motherboards use an m.2 slot as a sata replacement in a way such as sata 6 so if you put in your m.2 in the second slot and the hdd wherever it may be that they are using the same lane to connect on. Sorry I really don't know how to explain it. Basically try moving the HDD sata cable to a different number.
  12. The 20 series cards are out so the last generation is naturally going to become cheaper.
  13. Get a gpu. I have a second computer with an fx-6300 and a gtx 1060 6gb and it does not bottleneck. In the long run though save enough money to buy both. I personally don't recommend AMD gpus just because they don't perform as well but since it sounds like you are on a budget get the rx 580 8gb or rx 590 8gb.
  14. If you are really worried but still want to buy them, just don't buy the Founder Edition cards since they are made of more metal than 3rd party cards like Asus or Msi.
  15. Hi, I am buying a new case for my current setup because I have had it for about 4 years and the thermals aren't that amazing so i'm buying the new h700 case from NZXT. Since I already have aura sync PC components I want to buy some Aura sync case fans. Now the easy answer you may be thinking is oh NZXT makes RGB fans. Well unfortunately they are not aura sync compatible. I also know about the the partners page on Asus's website. https://www.asus.com/campaign/aura/us/Partners-and-promotions.html Basically i'm looking for a good looking fan that also has good cooling and I want somebody's input not just numbers. (Money is not an issue) I need 120mm and 140mm. Thanks!
