  1. The reason why I am willing to pay a little more for a good headphone is simply because most headphones around €20 to €50 are crap, not only in the sound quality but also in the (also very important) build quality. I find the €200 budget a bit overkill, but if that is what it takes to keep me using the headset for 10 years, then it is money well spent. if I buy a cheap headphone for let's say 35 to 50 euros. it the cheap headphone breaks every first or second year of use, I can buy the same one again. but after 5-7 years the benefit of a cheaper less durable headset declines because the total prices rices. (the headphone itself may get cheaper but on the long run it may cost more than the "expensive headphone") So you are paying the same or more over the long so why not invest in 1 good headset and get some nice features with it that you otherwise wouldn't have, like better sounding... sound, more comfortable
  2. so with the new information (about open back headphones) and with the current recommendations I found the following headset: Sennheiser HD 558 but I'm not quite sure about sennheiser for gaming? it is open back, and the picture does seem durable? Hmm, but I dunno maybe if I up my budget to €200 ? ($208,50) can someone find / recommend me a better choice ? the reason why i am so picky is because I am planning to use the headphone for the next 5 - 8 years
  3. oh, I didn't know that, thanks for sharing this information!
  4. so, open back is good for gaming? because open back means ? (maybe also important that I tell the headset i'm trying to replace, it's the Logitech G35, it broke on me after 5 years of abuse. It's a good headset but it broke so I need a new one )
  5. it actually varies quite a bit, I listen to monstercat, but also to rock
  6. Hey, I don't have a lot of knowledge about headphones so I thought I would ask here for some recommendations. I did do some research and came across one that was quite interesting: Audio-Technica ATH-M40x but I'm not sure if it's the best headphone for me, if you know any better headset/headphone (microphone isn't required) that follow the requirements below, please do tell me. requirements: budget is €50 - €120 ($52,00 - $125,00) the headphone needs to be durable the headphone must be able to produce positional audio (because I play cs-go) the headphone must be over ear
  7. that is indeed the best solution but my budget doesn't allow that
  8. hey, thanks for looking at my question. As the title says, I need a new headset... soon. currently I have the Logitech G35 and I like the headset a lot. The microphone is nice and the audio quality is not bad I do not use the 7.1 surround function. So what is the problem ? its old. And it has been broken... a few times ... so my question is, Do you have a headset which you can recommend to me ? my budget for the headset is around €160,- ($175,78 at 25 July 2015) I'd love to keep a good quality microphone. Thanks for any help / recommendations! sorry for any grammar errors, English is not my primary language.
  9. so does this mean my 970 can´t handle 3 1920x1080 monitors in suround ?
  10. well I have my old 750ti for my 27 inch, so I can have my 970 for the 3 1080 surround ?
  11. hey, I've been searching but I can't find how thick the bezel is of the lg 24mp55hq-p maybe some one has one? or some one knows how thick ? the reason I want to know this is because I'm gonna buy a 3+1 setup the 3 are the lg 24mp55hq-p (24 inch) the 1 is my philips 27 inch monitor (that I have already) or maybe some one knows a better monitor for a 3+1 setup? gpu = Nvidia GTX 970 evga FTW budget = €500,- = $530,12 = £362,15
  12. thanks for the part selection and I could get it cheaper because I could just use my old 500 gb WD blue and I could use my old case so if I count everything up its €230 ( $312,96) but then there is no software so what software (or freeware) do you recommend for an small server pc (I've only used windows in my life so no experience with Linux)
  13. I think that 64gb of ssd is indeed a bit WAY to small, but an intel xeon E3-1230 v3 cpu is a bit overkill, I do not plan on hosting every server at the same time, when we play minecraft, i turn on the server and after 3 days or so, and we wanna play lets say Space Engineers then i turn that server online and stop the minecraft server also if you look at the motherboard you can see there is only space for 2 memory slots (so max 16 gb) budget wise I look to make this summer around €500,- (that is $680.35) I do not plan to spend it all on the game server, so I think around €300,- (that is $408,21) that i wanna use for the game server I do have an old graphics card that's perfect for this job btw thanks for all the responses !
  14. well if you mean with remote desktop the remote desktop feature of windows then yes I know how to set that up, why? and true that 550watts is a bit to much but I never know howmuch watts my pc needs
