  1. But the i5 with New mobo, ram would be worth It?
  2. Hello there, i currently have a i5 4670, r9 290x and 16GB 1600 Mhz and i was wanting an upgrade to a GTX 1070, but ive seen in many places that my i5 will bottleneck the GPU, so i was searching and here in Brasil i can find a i7 4790 OEM new for around 351$ while a brand new i5 8600k or ryzen 2700x here costs 405$ and i would still have to up the MOBO and memory(DDR4 is very expensive here), so i was wondering if the i7 4790+gtx 1070 i would be ok for the next 3-4 years of 1080p 60 FPS gaming
  3. Hey guys, Just reviving this post because It appeared a option to buy a OEM Intel i7 4790(non k) in december, do you guys think now its worth the 1070? And also, does OEM CPUs have any difference from retail(besides no box,sticker,warranty...)?
  4. Thanks, i Will keep It, and maybe in a near future prices in Brasil drop from this current mess and i buy a good cpu to keep with a good GPU,
  5. So what would u do in my place? Buy the1070 or OC a bit the 290x?
  6. my fan speed gets to like 70% to keep the card at 80°C in 100% usage gpu games
  7. Mine is the basic version, so i dont think overclock would be a good idea, its already too hot when i play some games that uses it 100%
  8. Thanks for the awnser, but i've been looking at benchmarks and the 1060 has like 20% better performance than the 290x, isnt that or a 1070 a better upgrade than the cpu? And also the big problem is that here in brasil its superhard(almost impossible) to buy used parts from reliable places, so i would have to buy a 8th or 9th gen intel or a new ryzen, that would make me change the motherboard and RAM, and it would be way more expensive than the 1070(prices are fucked up around here), so isnt the i5 4670 + 1070 combo better than a i5 8th gen/ryzen + R9 290x?
  9. My situation is a bit worst than yours, so u think it would be a good combo 1070 + i5 4670?
  10. i heard in some places that with a overclock to like 4.3 GHz its a pretty nice setup but im here as lost as you hahahahaha
  11. I was thinking on the 1070 for maybe next year if i upgrade the cpu it would be better than the 1060, like: use it with the i5 just a little bit better than the 1060 and then ,when i get a nice cpu, use it to its full potential, if that makes sense hahahaha
  12. Hi guys, i currently have a i5 4670 non k, 16gb of ram and a R9 290x, and was wondering If the upgrade of the GPU was worth It, since i only have money to up that. I know there Will be a bit of bottleneckling in cpu headed games, but Will still do much better than the 290x, that is a Very old card? I intend to play on 1080p and want to never get under 60 FPS in games like pubg and cod BO4 and never under 144 on CS(only game i Care to use my Full monitor potential)
