  2. Oh my.. hahah oh well, I will tell him to return the motherboard then and get another one
  3. I will check cmos tomorrow, didn't have enough time to look at it today Here are the Specs: PSU: EVGA GQ 750W GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio CPU: Intel core I7 7700k MB: ROG STRIX Z390-F Gaming RAM: HyperX fury Black RGB 16GB 3600MHz DDR4 CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro H115i
  4. I did check the CPU power cable on the motherboard and it was seated correctly, but I didn't check if it had come out a little bit from the PSU. Will have a check later. Thanks for your reply!
  5. Hello! My friend recently got a new motherboard and also new RAM. The motherboard he got is a "ROG STRIX Z390-F Gaming" and the RAM was some HyperX 3666MHz (can't remember the exact name) Anyhow, when we had put everything together and double checked that all the cables were connected it still didn't boot. It turns on for about 1 sec before shutting down again, also the CPU light on the motherboard goes red for a sec. So we checked if there were any pins bent, and there were none that we could see. However we did see some thermal paste on the CPU connectors so we wiped it of gently with some isopropyl alcohol 91%, and still didnt turn on. Got any ideas on what could have gone wrong? Also I know he overclocked the CPU just a tiny bit with his old motherboard, from what I've read the CPU should go back to default when it goes into a new motherboard but I guess that could be incorrect? Specs: PSU: EVGA GQ 750W GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio CPU: Intel core I7 7700k MB: ROG STRIX Z390-F Gaming RAM: HyperX fury Black RGB 16GB 3600MHz DDR4 CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro H115i
  6. So I bought a Palit RTX 2080TI about 2 weeks ago and it all worked just fine until last evening when I started to experience artifacting in games. I first saw it in Rise of the Tomb Raider, in that game I just got like big black boxes all over the screen then after a while it stopped. Then I started BF5 and that is when I saw a extreme case of artifacting and then the game crashed. I also tried a couple of different games like State of Decay 2, Rainbow Six Siege and Insurgency: Sandstorm all they all got artifacts and then crashed. As I said it all worked fine until yesterday evening I also get artifacts when I am using my mail for an example. I've been in contact with Nvidia support and they've done everything they can. Here is a list of the things I've tried. - Updated to the newest driver - Clean install of driver - Rollback to an older driver I knew 100% worked earlier - Changed settings in the Nvidia Control Panel - Changed PCIe slot So I assume I've got to replace the card with a new one now?
  7. I've heard that newer drivers just decrease the performance but in this case I had the same driver yesterday when I had 100+ fps in State of decay 2 but today I only get around 60-100. It could have something to do with my overclocking of the GPU but it does have the same core and memory clock as yesterday, and the power limit/ temp limit is also the same
  8. Im using DX11 atm. So you also think I should get higher Mhz memory?
  9. Playing at 1440p. Ye latest drivers installed
  10. hello! So I recently got a RTX 2080TI. When I play Battlefield 5 on the maximum graphic setting I get around 60-120 fps depeding on the map and where I am looking, is this low fps for this system or is to be expected? Also I played State of decay 2 yesterday and hit around 100+ fps constantly on the highest setting, but when I played today I only got around 60-80. here is a list of everything in my rig. CPU: I7 8700 GPU: RTX 2080TI Motherboard: Asus B360-F PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 650W RAM: 16Gg DDR4 2133Mhz Storage: 223GB KINGSTON 931GB Seagate 465GB Samsung SSD 960 EVO 500GB
  11. Thermal looks stable, setting where it should be. When I play Bf5 for an example my game sometimes freezes for about 1 sec and also shutter sometimes, but my computer should be able to handle it without any issue
  12. Hello! So I just got a new motherboard (ROG STRIX B360-F GAMING) and a new CPU (Intel I7 8700) I have a RTX 2080TI and even though the CPU isn't the most powerful games should freeze/shutter lag, also the fps seems a bit to low. In Rise of the Tomb Raider i get an average of 65 fps and that is really low considering what I have in my computer CPU:Intel I7 8700 Motherboard: ROG STRIX B360-F GAMING GPU: RTX 2080TI Storage:223GB KINGSTON 931GB Seagate 465GB Samsung SSD 960 EVO PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 650W RAM: ddr4 HyperX 2133Mhz Any ideas what I can try to do to solve this? or troubleshoot it? Also uploaded a picture of the task manager and CPU-Z while playing BF5 on high/ultra
  13. Hello! Im gonna sell my MSI m3 gaming h170, hyperX ddr4 2133mhz and an Intel i5 6600k and what should I sell all this for?
  14. Ye I will get an I9 the same as you have, new motherboard and new ram
  15. Ye I will get a new CPU and hope it will solve my issue. Thanks for you help! ?
  16. Alright it's pretty clear that its my CPU that is dragging me down so I will buy a new one. Thanks to everyone who helped me! ?
  17. Ye its 90%+ so the CPU is clearly the issue then
  18. Yeah I am thinking its the CPU, might get a I9 or a i7 8700k then I shouldn't get bottlenecked right?
  19. Okay so I just ran a benchmark in Rise of the Tomb Raider on everything set to the highest at 1440p and my avarage FPS were 71. Also my CPU was at 100% and my GPU at 10% usage
  20. I might sound stupid for asking.. but what is a dud 2080ti haha?
  21. If I remember correctly I think my CPU were being used at 100%
