  1. I have a pretty good variety, with about 60% being 1366, 30% being 771, and 5% each of relatively low-end 1156 and 2011 chips. Based on suggestions, I will probably not even bother with the 771s The 2011s will be listed since they're the newest and maybe someone wants them I will likely do the same with the higher-end 1366s, and just cut my losses on the rest of them I have a lot of those, so at least some of them have purpose even if they're worth almost nothing
  2. First of all, I don't know if this is the right category for this post, but here goes. My problem, as stated in the title, is that I have more Xeons than I know what to do with. I have listed a few on Ebay, but they haven't sold well. Apparently, there isn't a huge m,arket for used Xeons. So, with that in mind, what should I do with them? I would like to make some money on them, and to recoup my investment I only need to sell them for $5 each.
  3. The PSU does look a bit sketchy, but in theory it should be fine. As long as you aren't going to overclock it should do it's job. Basically, if you have it in your budget to get a new 500W PSU, then you should get one. Otherwise, just get it somewhere down the line. Other than that, that looks like a pretty good system.
  4. I think that it is the 2408WFPb. Thank you for your help @AbydosOne and @ProjectBox153!
  5. That might be it exactly, unless there is a larger model.
  6. So, I have a pretty qeire question that someone in this community probably knows the answer to. When I was in HS, I helped the IT department and got something of my own workstation, with a pretty massive Dell monitor that they (obviously) didn't let me keep. I have looked around for that particular monitor, but I'm having a hard time even finding the model number of the thing. It was a 27-30" (I can't remember exactly) monitor with a crap-ton of inputs (DVI, VGA, Displayport, even composite) and had that black and silver design language of early 2000s Dell. It anyone here knows which model it is, or even where I can look to find it out that would be great.
  7. I don't know any exact models, but I believe that there is an option to buy some Dell laptops with Ubuntu preinstalled, which might solve some of your issues. Not sure which models though.
  8. A R7 1700 can be found for the same price as a R5 2600, in my experience.
  9. I think that if you could find a used Ryzen 7 1700 on ebay, that might be the way to go
  10. AMD has been killing it lately, so ofc Nvidia wants to get out there first.
  11. Hmm. I assume you got your replacement Motherboard on Ebay? This might be a bad motherboard, so try contacting the seller to see if you can get a refund. Unless the charger is malfunctioning somehow (based on the info you gave it seems fine), you probably got a bit of bad luck.
  12. If you just want a basic pattern like carbon fiber, you can go on Amazon and buy a roll of adhesive vinyl like this. It says it's for cars, but I used it to wrap both my laptop and my phone case.
  13. If you want something new from Samsung, you could also get an A51. They cost $400 exactly, an have every feature you mentioned except the RAM
  14. The problem may be your charge port. I know that you said that you could charge it via dock, but perhaps the charge port broke too? I have worked on quite a few Dell laptops, the this kind of issue seems to often be related to a bad charge port.
  15. To be clear, the issue is that as soon as you plug the charger in, the charger turns itself off? If that's the case, then it is most likely a bad charge port. I don't know if you have tried the dock since your motherboard swap, but that would be my guess. I have worked on several different Dell models in the past, and this issue seems to always be a problem with the charging port.
