my gpu is at 100% usage, at 1987 mhz with no oc at 52 degrees. my cpu is at between 10-30 percent usage,at 4.1 ghz no oc averaging 40 degrees

i have been replaying the witcher 3 lately, at 1080p on all low, i average about 25 frames.

Hello, this is my third or so time trying to figure out what is wrong with my card or what not in a year. Before i get started here are my parts: Gigabyte gtx 1080 g1 gaming intel i5-8600k corsair 650w psu asus rog strix z370-h mobo wd blue 1tb hdd@7.2k rpm now to get to the fun part. here are things i found on my own or was told in previous forums, i have the latest drivers for the 1080 from nVidia and they seem to have no affect on my card, i dont know why that is. i have done almost everything i can think of, i have used ddu a handfull of times with no success, ive wiped my hard drive at least twice to be sure, also with no success. i have my gpu in my in the x16@3.0 slot in my motherboard seated correctly. also, im not too educated on anything other than how to build and setup a pc, but for my gpu the card only uses an 8 pin pcie connector, but the cable i use is an 8+8 cable, i just leave the other connector hanging there, i dont know if that would have an affect or not. im going to include an image of gpu-z if any of you see something wrong or suspicious. i appreciate and welcome all questions or opinions.

what GPU-Z says about my card

i own the Gigabyte 'GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8GB' and my vram usage playing the division 2 is around 5500.

on afterburner while playing division 2, my core clock was 1974mhz at 100% usage, voltage was at 1.050, power% was around 30 and bus usage was hovering around 15. those numbers are kind off, but im not that experienced. and i dont know if any of that information helped any.

well i ran that superstition benchmark on 1080p medium settings, and i got around 2300, i looked at the leaderboard for my specs, and with the same parts he scored 12000 higher than me.

i just did it twice to be sure, and nothing happened. its making me think that its hardware, not software.

i got it used from Gigabyte on amazon, for around 540 usd
