  1. Managed to resolve this issue. I reloaded the "factory" settings for Shut up 10 then rebooted, reapplied my disables, rebooted and all started working again. I must have mis-selected a setting to disable - which I don't know.
  2. Hello, I've Just finished setting up my new install and I'm having a strange issue. Both Chrome and Firefox are freezing for up to 30 seconds while viewing certain sites such as reddit and facebook. It also happens while just simply scrolling down the page. strangely I've not had the issue on Youtube (yet). I've tried disabling "use smooth scrolling" and my AV software but the "issue" remains. Has anyone got any ideas? As I said, it's a new install of windows 10 (fully updated with Shutup 10 recommended settings applied).
  3. After reading up on a few sites as to what to check HTG recommended the windows reliatibity function - unfortunately it only shows that windows did not shut down correctly. It's really getting on my nerves as I don't have any other spare AMD AM3 systems to swap parts around and as it's old gear would like to keep costs down as much as possible. Is there anything else I could check for these system lock ups?
  4. Silly idea time but if he has a laptop and travels why not just get him a USB3 docking station setup with a decent Monitor mouse and keyboard - that way when he gets back home jsut still has all his same documents etc but in an office type setup. We use this style of setup at work and is very handy. All depends how good is laptop is.
  5. I'd like to add the following: Windows 10 has been installed for around year The system was overclocked by Scan Computers when I purchased it but has since dialed it back to stock speeds The BIOS is version 3029
  6. Hello, I have an issue with one of my systems. It intermittently lockups up and requires a system reload. It's done this for over 2 years now and I'm finally tired of it doing so. The specs are as follows: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 4x 2GB Dominator DDR3 Memory Asus R7260X-DC2OC-2GD5 IBM Deskstar 1TB I've carried out the following tests: Passes 24 hour memtest 86 tests on each stick of RAM plus another 24 hours with all sticks at once. 24 hour Prime95 Small FTTS tests Fails Prime95 Blend tests - this either just drops out or the system hangs. With the Prime95 Blends failing it points more to the CPU but are there any logs I can check that could indicate the cause of the crash?
