  1. After the newest update 2004 an old problem came back. Whenever my wallpaper is changing I get a short lag or freeze, but only to the screen not to the sound. This is especially noticeable when watching a movie. I had a similar problem with 1809 but back then it was the automated color select, that caused the freeze, but this time it is off and it's only the wallpaper change. It doesnt matter how many wallpapers are available or if it's ramdom or not. And also the size of the wallpapers doesn't matter. I have 4 connected displays, 3x1440p and a 1080 projector. But it didn't change when I only used one. GPU is a 1080ti with newest drivers, still waiting for a 3080"ti?" upgrade. MB/Chipsetdrivers are new; X399 AORUS Gaming 7 CPU; TR1950X 128GB of RAM and Windows is running from a Intel 900p. Wallpapers are on another drive: Gigabyte M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD 1 TB If someone else is having problems like this please report, also if you got a fix. My solution so far is, set the change time to 10min, so it's not this annoying.... But every other attempt to find a solution failed so far: New driver, old driver or even no driver Transparency or autopicking color Formating and setting everyting up from 0 Only one monitor, at 60, 90, 120, 144hz No OC to GPU / CPU, less RAM, no RAM OC Copied just a few wallpaper to other drives
  2. I finally was able to post my solution in the MS community forum and my older posts are available again https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfpro3-surfnetwork/i-found-a-fix-for-the-wifi-and-bluetooth-issue-on/8623b8ef-e3f5-43dd-b37a-2657a856d99a?tm=1540260882991 I do not know if this has something to do with my chat with microsoft but I am glad that it worked in the end
  3. I just try to reach enough people who have this problem and help them fix it MS might fix the firmware lateron and never talk about their mistakes but this might be too late for some If I weren't able to repair this I might have bought a new Surface Pro : / An USB Wifi and Bluetooth adapter was on it's way to be a short time solution I can send this back now, when it arrives But I don't think there are this many people who try to fix this in the first place
  4. I just chated with a Microsoft Service Assistant, her name is Doreen and she was helpfull and friendly. She needes my contact information to call me back and said the forum is experiencing some issues, that's why I can't submit discussions. But this doesn't explain why only my previous questions aren't found but still listed?
  5. Dear LTT community, sorry for beeing new and never taking part There aren't many forums I take part in, maybe just overclocked.net And sometimes the microsoft community forums..... This took me here There is an issue with the surface pro 3 and the latest firmware disabling the wifi&bluetooth adapter. I posted a question there Surface Pro 3 Wireless adapter rarely works after reinstall https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/surface-pro-3-wireless-adapter-rarely-works-after/f89fc5fa-97ee-4199-aced-cbfdcff8c884 And a day later after I was sure it's a firmware issue this discussion Surface Pro 3 change BIOS version https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/surface-pro-3-change-bios-version/27c378a4-1fce-4c7e-a2fe-d5c77f58c886 Now both look like this: Maybe I got banned after trying to post this: I found a fix for the Wifi and Bluetooth issue on my Surface Pro 3 I wrote the text and clicked submit and nothing happend, for a few minutes, then I clicked cancel and tried again...... Nothing, and a third time, again nothing..... and now my other posts are gone too..... It's not like I post a lot there but this is strange, other posts are still available And this is what I was going to post: I see lot of people having the same issue I had and there was no help nor fix. I already posted two questions regarding this issue: Surface Pro 3 Wireless adapter rarely works after reinstall https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/surface-pro-3-wireless-adapter-rarely-works-after/f89fc5fa-97ee-4199-aced-cbfdcff8c884 Surface Pro 3 change BIOS version https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/surface-pro-3-change-bios-version/27c378a4-1fce-4c7e-a2fe-d5c77f58c886 I got this problem after formating and setting up the SP3 After some digging I was pretty sure it was a firmware issue, since there hase been a lot of bad firmwares for the SP3, most of the time there were issues with the battery But I remembered there was an almost identical error back in 2016 and it was a firmware error So I tried to install different drivers but my Wifi adapter was flashing in and out of existence I disabled and enabled it in BIOS and tried a lot of stuff One time I managed it to reinstall another driver from an older pack and I got the best error code ever, code 12 Not enough ressources for this device This also explained the funny boot loop and bsod when booting and beeing connected to a usb hub with serveral devices This might sound stupid and it took me a while to find this but the best way to fix this issue is, to set your UEFI Firmware back to 3.11.2550.0 What is the same version you are probably on, not intuitive I am using the newest driver package SurfacePro3_Win10_16299_1803002_0 On Windows 10 1803 17134.345 *Here is my fix without the story behind* Open the device manager Expand firmware Rightclick Surface Pro UEFI -> Propeties -> Drivers Click "previous driver" (sorry in my german W10 it says "Vorheriger Treiber") should be the button in the middle This starts a setback of the driver after you told ms why you are doing this The strange thing is, it's setting my driver back to the same version, but after a restart the code 12 is gone and the wifi device works again, at least for me : / I hope this helps! Well thanks for reading, I hope I get to people with the same problem this way And maybe I get unbanned from the MS forum, but it doesn't even tell me I am banned....
