Dear LTT community, sorry for beeing new and never taking part
There aren't many forums I take part in, maybe just overclocked.net
And sometimes the microsoft community forums.....
This took me here
There is an issue with the surface pro 3 and the latest firmware disabling the wifi&bluetooth adapter.
I posted a question there
Surface Pro 3 Wireless adapter rarely works after reinstall https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/surface-pro-3-wireless-adapter-rarely-works-after/f89fc5fa-97ee-4199-aced-cbfdcff8c884
And a day later after I was sure it's a firmware issue this discussion
Surface Pro 3 change BIOS version https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/surface-pro-3-change-bios-version/27c378a4-1fce-4c7e-a2fe-d5c77f58c886
Now both look like this:
Maybe I got banned after trying to post this:
I found a fix for the Wifi and Bluetooth issue on my Surface Pro 3
I wrote the text and clicked submit and nothing happend, for a few minutes, then I clicked cancel and tried again......
Nothing, and a third time, again nothing..... and now my other posts are gone too.....
It's not like I post a lot there but this is strange, other posts are still available
And this is what I was going to post:
I see lot of people having the same issue I had and there was no help nor fix.
I already posted two questions regarding this issue:

I got this problem after formating and setting up the SP3
After some digging I was pretty sure it was a firmware issue, since there hase been a lot of bad firmwares for the SP3, most of the time there were issues with the battery
But I remembered there was an almost identical error back in 2016 and it was a firmware error
So I tried to install different drivers but my Wifi adapter was flashing in and out of existence
I disabled and enabled it in BIOS and tried a lot of stuff
One time I managed it to reinstall another driver from an older pack and I got the best error code ever, code 12
Not enough ressources for this device
This also explained the funny boot loop and bsod when booting and beeing connected to a usb hub with serveral devices
This might sound stupid and it took me a while to find this but the best way to fix this issue is, to set your UEFI Firmware back to 3.11.2550.0
What is the same version you are probably on, not intuitive
I am using the newest driver package SurfacePro3_Win10_16299_1803002_0
On Windows 10 1803 17134.345
*Here is my fix without the story behind*
Open the device manager
Expand firmware
Rightclick Surface Pro UEFI -> Propeties -> Drivers
Click "previous driver" (sorry in my german W10 it says "Vorheriger Treiber") should be the button in the middle
This starts a setback of the driver after you told ms why you are doing this
The strange thing is, it's setting my driver back to the same version, but after a restart the code 12 is gone and the wifi device works again, at least for me : /
I hope this helps!
Well thanks for reading, I hope I get to people with the same problem this way
And maybe I get unbanned from the MS forum, but it doesn't even tell me I am banned....
