  1. Been saving for a while now and decided to build a new rig for the first time in 8 years. My budget is between $2500-$3000 USD but needs to include a new monitor as well. This rig will primarily be for gaming and occasional software development. I'm trying to look for a CPU to be able to support both with a decent price point. I do want to try to hit 32 GBs of RAM because I've had issues with only 16 GBs on my work laptop when coding. I like the idea of having no typical hard drives with SSDs in the machine. For gaming I want to push 1440p with graphics set rather high, I like games such as The Witcher 3, some RTS, and really looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. I do like FPS but am not a competitive gamer so the highest FPS isn't a strict requirement. Below is my idea of AMD rig to fit my needs. I'm very torn on what GPU to get due to the reviews and availability at any given point. I have a 2080 on the list but i'm not entirely set on that item. I do want to have gsync on an IPS screen.
