  1. mobo-aorus z390 master cooler-cooler master ml360r thermal paste-thermal grizzly kryonaut When in BIOS and at stock clock the auto voltage sets it at around 1.35V. I am able to run it at 4.9GHz 1.35V, but that is if I set all cores to 4.9GHz. At 5GHz even 1.375V is not enough. There is no point pushing it higher.
  2. Well, there is a chance that these OEM CPUs are binned. I can't even overclock mine as it runs with 1.37V on stock, which is probably the worse you can find and here I hoped for 5.1-5.2 at this voltage. Setting the voltage to 1.25V on stock equals instant crash.
  3. I am not planning to squeeze all the performance out of it. If it manages 5GHz on all cores, then that is fine, if it hits higher with reasonable amount of voltage that would be perfrect, but then again I am planning to run it at 4.9-5.0GHz
  4. Yes, consumer protection covers false writing/advertising and unmentioned description. In my case it was mentioned I just didn't pay attention to the word 'tray' in 'tray processor'. Obviously they will accept your return, as you can accuse them for false advertising and you are gonna be refunded anyway and on top of thatit will give the retailer a bad name. I just hope it isn't a binned CPU as most of you said and I hope it will clock to at least 5.2GHz in the range of 1.3-1.35v.
  5. Thanks guys for all the help, what I wanted to know is whether the OEM CPU is binned. Have a good day all of you
  6. Actually the website mentions the CPU is OEM, but it is written as 'tray processor', which I didn't pay attentionn to.
  7. As of warranty as brooksie mesntioned CPUs rarely burn out before warranty, so I don't care about warranty much - 1 year is enough(hopefully I don't speak too soon). I am not planning overclocking it much either(5GHz all cores) and when all my parts arrive I will try to push it and see how much it will overclock to a reasonable voltage.
  8. Wow, thanks for your quick responses. It costs me almost as much as i7-9700k here in uk being a part of a bundle. Unfortunately, have to return the whole bundle, so if you add the shipping cost and the time wasted it is not worth returning it.
  9. I ordered a bundle with i9-9900k, which I found out was actually an OEM not retail after I recieved it. Is there any difference between the OEM and Retail excpet the warranty, for example the OEM being binned, which means less overclock potential. Thanks for your answers
  10. Perfect response, exactly what I needed :). I will go for an AIO cooler and after I am done with the build with some testing I will find out what type of air pressure will work best. Then I guess I will go with the ml240r, which is 240mm radiator with 2x 120mm fans. Thanks everyone for giving out your suggestions.
  11. But this also depends on the case. In a different case a different fan/lc cooler configuration may work best.
  12. Thanks for taking your time typing your suggestion. Have a great day. BTW what do you think is better, setting the fans as intake or exhaust when mounted on the top of the case?
  13. Well, I didn't post it as it really doesn't matter much(maybe it does a bit on whether it is with soldered IHS or not and whether I plan deliding the CPU) as we are looking for best cooling peformance overall. The CPU will be i9 9700k or i9 9900K. The GPU will be 2080ti(msi gaming x trio) or 1080ti(gigabyte aorus triple fan).
