  1. no i meant the only thing other forums are saying is that it is a CPU bottleneck but it isnt besause when i look at task manager none of the cores are maxed out
  2. yea but why am i getting such bad FPS if there isnt a cpu or ram bottleneck
  3. i put task manager in the thing where it shows individual threads and none are maxed out
  4. Ive checked it and 2 cores are showing higher usage but still only around 60 percent
  5. no its not a cpu bottleneck its nowhere near 100 percent usage
  6. Also no it is not a thermal issue
  7. Hi, when i am playing GTA V, i have all of my settings on max and i am getting below 60fps sometimes. My hardware is a R7 2700x, RTX 2070 and 16GB ddr4 3000 mHz RAM. Obviously with these specs i should be getting better FPS than this. When i open up task manager nothing is maxed out and my GPU is around 30%, and i have my FPS uncapped. Im not sure why this is happening and when i google it everyone keeps saying it is a bottleneck, when it obviously isnt. This also happens in other games like fortnite as well so it isn't a one off. I have just tried re installing windows and that still doesnt work.
  8. Oh, right i looked at some of them, but i thought they were just like splitters ajnd you need a rgb header on ur mobo. Would something like this work> https://www.amazon.co.uk/Akasa-AK-RLD-02-Vegas-PCI-Control/dp/B073SQGQ7V/ref=sr_1_1?crid=CRYSCPWRCA6R&keywords=pc+rgb+controller&qid=1576787180&s=computers&sprefix=pc+rgb+c%2Ccomputers%2C149&sr=1-1
  9. Hi, basically i spent all my money on a r7 2700x and cheaped out on my motherboard, something which i regret deeply now. Basically it doesn't have any RGB headers and i was wondering if there is any way to give it RGB support? FYI i am a bit of a noob with this stuff cos i never use high end hardware. any help would be appreciated. The rgb pins that i need are 4-pin btw. Thanks
  10. Ive already tried that multiple times and it still doesnt work
  11. When I start fortnite I get these messages on my PC. this uses to happen, then stopped and it has started again. does anyone have a fix for this?
  12. Yea that's what I'm planning on doing but I don't know how to make the coppy of windows without having a fresh install
  13. Hi, I currently have a 250 GB HDD installed in my computer, and I want to transfer my OS to an SSD. I only want to transfer my OS though, not the games I have downloaded, as they take too much space, how do I do this without deleting everything? Thanks in advance.
  14. Im a massive noob with servers what is SMB? i looked online and it baffled me
  15. So i have an old computer that was just lying around, doing nothing and i got bored and wanted to try and make a FTP server with it. I put Xubuntu, because normal ubuntu is too laggy and it just breaks it. I have got it set up so it works with file explorer in windows, but i want it to display the amount of storage it has, and has left, you know, like it does when you plug a USB stick in, or with your internal HDD/SSD, as shown in the picture that is hopefully going to attach if i can remember. As you can see in the image, the server does not show the blue bar thing and or the storage. Issue #2: When i try and view say, a video or picture off the server, it re-downloads it onto the device, is there anyway i can get it to just stream to the device?

  17. I have just got a google home mini today, and i have had my chromecast (I think its gen 1) for quite a while. when i go "Ok google, play ______ on my T.V" it says there is no chromecast linked with my account. When i check on my google home app, it is picking up the chromecast. Now, i have an extender which gives off 2 signals: 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, the chromecast is connected to 2.4 and the home is connected to 5, does this have anything to do with it?
  18. Oh okay, I'd say the motherboard is a bit overkill, you could save some money and maybe get a slightly better GPU or something, not that the GPU isn't good cos it will handle almost all games just fine but might be worth a different motherboard. Also, 32GB RAM is a bit overkill 16 GB will be just fine for all games, I've never really encountered a game that's needed more than 16.
  19. Oh, okay that's mildly annoying. Do u have any cheap AM3+ CPU's to recommend me buying to test it?
  20. It depends what you want the PC for? gaming, streaming, workstation ect. For anything you should remember is DONT FORGET TO PUT THE IO SHIELD IN haha the amount of times I have done this haha.
  21. I want to see if a motherboard is working, but I don't have a CPU, GPU or ram that fits it, I was wondering if I could turn it on without anything connected, just the 24-pin power. I'm not expecting much to happen, obviously, but would I at least get an error message on the screen or something.
  22. I'll probably try that if i cant fix it but theres no places like that near me. I do have the equipment for it I could proabbly do it ive fixed things like this before.
  23. It is a broken motherboard my mate gave me cos I have next to no money so i'm gonna try and fix it.
