  1. No problem, thanks for the input. I am buying a testing for the psu to see it that is the problem, if not, ill have to buy a new motherboard then i just don’t want to buy without knowing the cause and wasting cash
  2. I had it connected to a ups, but also tried it directly in a wall outlet with no result. No visual burn or damaged wires. i should mention that when the pc shut down due to power outage, sometimes it does not come on immediately, i will have to unplug it and wait a while then try again and it would come on. This time i took like 1 or 2 days to unplug it and tried to turn in on again and haven’t got any feedback since.
  3. Yes, still nothing. Red light does come on when the cpu power is not plugged in though, but still doesn’t turn on when i connect it
  4. I am using the ryzen 5 5600x have updated bios when building, has been working for several months, now gives problem
  5. So i posted a few days ago about pc not turning on, and still couldn’t figure out what was the problem. It seems to be a power issue or problem caused by psu/connectors (my opinion) i have an ASUS Rog Strix B550-A gaming motherboard with a Corsair RM 750x psu. On the motherboard for cpu power, it has 8 pin connector and also a 4 pin connector. I had only used the 8 pin connector since building it and i wanted to know if not using the 4 pin also could lead to damages either to cpu or motherboard. I do have high/low voltages in my area sometimes, but this should not be a problem for the psu to handle. Could this be the issue?
  6. Hmmmm, now I think it’s the cpu dead.
  7. Update: bios light flashes and comes on lan connection light comes on when plugged in cpu fan light comes on when power not plugged in. Is it the mb? Should I get a new one?
  8. I will do some checking with the ups to see if that could have been the problem. as for overheating, normal gaming temp was like around 60-70c, but I think I was pushing the specs and fps while playing and left it in high setting then after a while , everything just went blank. The case was extremely hot to touch, I had to open it and let it cool off. Also one of my ssd started to stop reading properly and cause the pc to take 20 mins to boot. I unplugged the ssd and ran everything on my m.2 drive and it worked normal again. i have a cyber power 1500va avr
  9. So yes, we can have frequent power outages and low voltages here, some lasting for a good time. For me the ups does help a lot when switching over to generator and the low voltages. I don’t know much about the other things like incompatibility. How do i check this? I have the Musetex Atx white version case. Not great airflow, hence why i leave it open to help with cooling. Also, only 1 times i had overheating in where it just went blank and shut down, it worked back normal after that.
  10. Yes i do, been using the pc for over a year now. I have not tried clearing CMOS, i will do that now.
  11. So i need some help to figure out this problem before i take any steps in purchasing a new part. Basically computer not turning on after shutting down automatically through UPS [power outage]. I thought it was the PSU problem, but i did the paper clip test where you short it and the fan started spinning. Also, when i unplug the cpu power cable from the motherboard, a red light came on. When i plug it in again, it went off, so i took it as indication that the psu was delivering power fine. Also can a damaged cpu cause this? I do not want to take this out to check as yet. I know that overheating can cause major damage to components, and i had one such incident after installing a RTX 3070, my pc overheated and shut down, i had since left my case opened while using it, to prevent the overheating and it worked fine after that until now. Right now i am thinking the motherboard got fried or something, so i would like to know any other causes or troubleshoot i can do to pinpoint the problem. (I do not have spare parts lying around i can swap in to check) here are the specific parts if it helps: -Gigabyte Rtx 3070 -Corsair RM 750x -ROG Strix B-550A Gaming motherboard -Amd ryzen 5 5600x
  12. So i am currently building my gaming rig and i have AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with ASUS ROG Strix B550-A Gaming motherboard. I need to do a bios update to run the cpu but where do i download the file or get the correct file?
  13. which is better? RMx White Series™ RM750x or CX Series™ CX750F RGB White?
  14. only B550 Tommahawk is couple dollars cheaper. ill stick with the ROG Strix B550 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08F9VP2RC/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER). plus the white wiil go good with my build looks (i think)
