    Big update, I've borrowed a ram kit from a friend and same exact issue, docp off=boot, docp on=boot loop. It all boils down to the cpu. I am 100% sure the ram sticks are in the correct spots.

    Hi guys, Yesterday I ordered an ROG strix b450M motherboard and put my system together. it boots to windows just fine but RAM runs at 2666mhz. I went to enable DOCP in bios and when I turn the PC on it shows the motherboard booting screen and then black again and again, doesn't boot into windows. So I ordered a new motherboard (MSI b550m bazooka) and exact same issue. boots fine with no DOCP and cannot boot into windows with DOCP. I can confirm I am running the RAM sticks in their proper slots (second and fourth). I've tried updating to the latest BIOS, tried one RAM stick at a time but same issue. Some help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! Specs: Ryzen 5 5600x MSI b550M bazooka and ROG strix B450M gaming II 16GB ddr4 (2x8) XPG ADATA 3200 mhz CL16 GTX 1080 ti STRIX 750 Watt MSI PSU 80+ gold 500GB SSD

    I don't know. I did follow the instructions from another guy from here: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/changing-windows-boot-manager-drive.3571420/ I then unplugged my SSD and tried to boot off of the new NVME SDD and it sent me to some Windows recovery thing saying that it's missing some file. I don't know what to do, I've moved windows to another drive on other PCs multiple times before and never had to go through this much trouble.

    Hello everyone, I've recently installed a new 1tb Sabrent NVME SSD into my PC. I've cloned windows and all my stuff from my 500GB Samsung 860 EVO to my new SSD using Macrium Reflect. When I go into the BIOS and set the new Sabrent SSD as the fist device to use in the priority bar and try to boot it gives me the error of "reboot and select proper boot device" The only thing that works is if I put the "UEFI Hard Disk:Windows Boot Manager" as the first one in the priority bar.     Hi everyone! I have been having problems with recording with OBS. I recorded some footage a couple times and it looks kinda weird and a bit choppy. I put the video files in Adobe Premiere and realized that every 20 frames or so it skips a frame, it really bugs me. I also tried quick sync and it is the same story. I run Doom at 200FPS at 1440p no problem but the recording looks like crap. PC specs: RTX 2080 FE i7 8700k 4.7 ghz Be Quiet! Dark rock pro 4 MSI z370 A PRO 16 GB 3000mhz RAM 500gb SSD 2TB HDD

    Hi everyone! I just upgraded my laptop my putting a 240GB SSD and its only showing 107GB. It has more than 100GB unalocated space and I can't extend it. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply! The 2020m stays below 63 Celcius under full load so I'm guessing that it can handle another 10 watts for sure.

    Hi everyone! I have a Toshiba Satellite C55-a laptop and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade its CPU from a Pentium 2020m to an i7 3740qm. I found on Ebay the 3740qm for under 100$ Also the Pentium 2020m has a 35 watt TDP and the i7 3740qm has a 45 watt TDP, will I get any other problems other than thermals? I know that it's physically possible to do this but I've been on a site that says it only has a 13% chance to successfully work.     Quick update guys. I just closed my laptop back plate and now I am getting no more than 63 Celsius running a stress test for 30 minutes. I ave no idea why having the laptop internals exposed made the machine throttle 50%+ I am extremely confused and shocked but whatever floats your boat I guess...

    Thanks for the replies! The CPU has no problem transferring the heat to the heat pipe. Also it is one piece between the hot and cold parts. There is the whole heat pipe system on Ebay for around 15 USD I can buy. Here is a screenshot of the inside of the laptop I took from one of the disassembly videos.

    Hi everyone! I have a Toshiba Laptop C55-a model and I am having some serious thermal issues. I just replaced my CPU thermal paste with some arctic silver 5 and I am still seeing massive thermal throttling. I am running my laptop opened up and I realize that the part of the heat pipe that the CPU is below is very very hot but at about the end of the pipe where the fan and the heat sink is the copper pipe barely has any heat to it. The air coming out of the laptop is basically cold. Does that mean that the copper heat pipe is bad and I need to replace it? Thanks!

    Thanks for that reply! In about a week I will need to do to the doctor to see what type of special pills I will need. Apparently they are supposed to reduce the depression and get my concentration back. I don't really know what to expect.

    If I pay 20$ to bump up 6gb RAM to 8gb, Pay 80$ for a quad core CPU, and then 60$ for the external GPU adapter that will cost me around 160$ https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Pentium-G4560-vs-Intel-Core-i7-3630QM/3892vs626 That CPU is similar to the popular Pentium G4560 and I've seen people play games on them. So even for 160$ you think it's just not worth it?

    Thanks for the replies! My My PC was confiscated because of bad grades, I used to have top grades until depression hit me. Anyways I is it possible to upgrade my CPU laptop to maybe a quad core i5 or something?

    Hi everyone, Recently I had my gaming PC confiscated But I have an old laptop with an intel pentium 2020m, 6gb (1x2 1x4) DDR3 RAM, 500gb SSD (I upgraded it) Toshiba satellite C55-a. Is it possible to remove my RTX 2080 and PSU out of my gaming PC and hook it up with my laptop using that thing Linus used in his external GPU for old laptops video? I can remove my wifi thing and use a usb internet dongle. If it is possible what kind of games will I be able to play? (I do understand it is a crazy bottleneck) Anyways love you guys!

    Thanks for the replies guys! I did try to run Malwarebyte in fact but I need admin privileges to run it so I couldn't. I also thought of swapping the SSD/Proprietary flash drive thing but the laptop needs a password to enter the bios (lock symbol screen) Should I bring the laptop to the school technicians?

    Hi everyone, Every time I try to Quit Chrome wether it is to use CMD Q or right clicking on the icon and force quitting or force quitting in the MacOS task manager thing it just reopens in half a second. Also, every time I search anything on it does it on google and then half a second later it just searches it to bing. It also does it on firefox and safari but those dont reopen when I quit them. I almost never used safari or firefox. I set my default browsing tool in chrome to be google. I am using a macbook air early 2015 model. It is my school laptop so I do not have admin privileges. Help on this topic would be great, thanks!

    Thanks for the reply Uptivuptiz! Yes it does need a password sadly. Do you think I can factory reset the mac by wiping its SSD by putting it into my mobo (z370 A PRO) and then putting it back into the mac? Will I need an adapter? Thanks.
