  1. tried this too, right now im thinking to try RMA since i bought it on the 16th of may, still within 1 year so fingers crossed, either way my 1200 didnt work so im sure its mobo now.
  2. gpu works fine with my back pc, but its a i5 sandy bridge with 4gb ddr3 1300mhz so its a huge downgrade. if its a motherboard issue ill replace it, is there anyway to know for sure, will a multimetre help?
  3. My pc was working perfectly but it turned itself off last night and now when i plug in the power cable it will turn on automatically and the fans will spin on the gpu, case, cpu as they should. My drives work, as im udsing them on my backup atm. but it will not respond to the power or reset buttons and i even tried a test bench power button i had laying around. No beeps, ram, gpu and both the psus i tried work with the other pc i have. My specs are: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362 Asrock A320M Pro 4 (BIOS Ver. the one that added support for Ryzen 2400) Ryzen 2400 Stock no oc. 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM (3200MHz XMP profile 1) EVGA GTX 670 (stock) Sandisk SD6SP1M 128GB M.2 boot drive 2x Seagate Baracuda 1TB storage drive Aerocool Integrator 80+ Bronze 700W Alternative Corsair CX430 80+ Bronze 430W
  4. because i dont like having my steam library on the same drive i boot from, when im downloading movies or tv shows or have large temp files being cached i dont want my games to chug.
  5. so you guys would both reccomend i just get 2 1tb m.2 sata ssds then, as i dont plan to upgrade the board till ive gotten my new gpu, at most 3 months later from now.. right now ive switched to my gtx 970 for this ryzen since my 980ti is better for my surround setup on my 3570k build. so what m.2 satas would you reccomend. my budget is around £160 for 2 m.2's as my 3.5" 1tb is mounted in a 5.25" bay under my blueray writer. i dont have any drive cages for the case im using.
  6. boot drive, and for loading photoshop cs6 from, which is why i only want a 250gb one. these are all frsh tech for me tho, i had a msata drive but turns out its garbage as the read write speeds are terrible. so i gave it to a family member who could use it. im in the market for a 1660ti or 2060 also im buying a 2700 on the 31st from amazon and returning the 1200.
  7. I just got this setup as my last ryzen pc got rekt. As you can see my storage devices suck. I have two M.2 slots I have no idea which one supports NVME and which is just Sata. I want a 1TB WD Blue M.2 Sata SSD and I want a 250GB M.2 NVME SSD for my boot drive. My 1TB Toshiba 3.5" HDD will be used for system backups. Edit: I forgot to mention I do have traditional 2.5" SSDs, Samsung EVO 1TB x2 and Cutial 1TB SSDs x3 but I dont want to pull them out from other things. Both Samsungs are in my consoles. Two of my Crutials are now being used USB storage for my consoles. One is loaded with movies and tv shows for when I go out I can plug it into my portable dvd player. UserBenchmarks: Game 60%, Desk 51%, Work 34% CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 - 68.8% GPU: Nvidia GTX 980 Ti - 66.8% HDD: Seagate ST9250315AS 250GB - 29.2% <boot drive. 8. i actualy just bought a bunch of chromecasts since casting to the monitors was just easier and i named the monitors by the room they're in, and so casting chrome to them is so simple.
  9. i actually bought a asrock ab350m board witha ryzen 1200 to get started so i have a huge upgrade path with 4x 4gb ddr4 3000mhz i have a gtx 980ti now too, but i was just offered a rx 590 for 100 pounds not sure if thats a good deal as the last amd card i used was a hd 7770 for my hackintosh.
  10. i have ubuntu ready for it, and i still used dvds and cds for disposable data since my thumb drives are loaded with oses most of the time. ho wdo i go abou tsetting this up as i can shove a 1tb ssd in the mac mini.
  11. see this is what really pisses me off, that a gtx 980ti is cheaper for you than 250usd when a gtx 980ti for me is still around or over 210 gbp which is 272.91 usd roughly so ebay.com for you is a great deal ebay.com and .co.uk for me are both totally overpriced .com due to shipping and .co.uk due to outragious eu region pricing.
  12. i use userbenchmark every time i buy something new for a pc. but i got a gtx 980ti windforce super clocked version from gigabyte, found it on gumtree guys bringing it in a couple hours after he gets changed from work. for 210 gbp thats cheaper than any of the exact same ones on ebay. gpus and cpus are always cheaper in usd than they are in gbp infact europe as a whole region gets a big fat dildo in the ass when it comes to pc hardware pricing, 250 usd is 192.37 gbp roughly so if i could get a gtx 980ti for 250usd id be really happy lol, im not looking for anything stupidly ott i want a pc that can hit 60fps in the original games i mentioned at 4k or 1440p, i dont need anything other than my mmos and 4k youtube to be smooth. if later on i want to upgrade the cpu then thats always an option these days becuase even a i3 8300 bests my 3570k while both at stock while having newer spec ram, and support for m.2 nvme ect.
  13. my tv has anyview cast and and other called anyview stream. what do i need and how can i use this to use my tv as a wireless display for windows 10 home, as it seems the support from windows forces u to need igpu on (not cool since lucid virtu is dead igpu is worthless) how can i do this. im going to have a gtx 980ti in a few hours and the underpowered oem 970 can be thrown in one of the usless pcs i cant use, do i need some kinda wifi card or some 3rd party dongle system. i have a Realtek 8811au usb adapter lieing around, would that work?
  14. well the 980ti isnt beacuse a 1660ti is another 50-60 pounds more for unoticable performance gain. this card is for a i5 3570k on a z77 sabertooth where as the 2070 will going in much more apropriate build. and with that in mind i dont want to waste 50-60 pounds on a newer card when that can go towards better hardware in a new build with a much more recent card. edit: forgot to remind you, that the 970 is a dell/alienware oem card which turned out to be worse than a reference card. the 980ti will be much nicer in this thing and keep it worth using beside my future build as living room pc rather than everything pc.
  15. so i have a old Mac mini (Mid 2007) and a few old pcs that could be hooked up to other screens around the house, they dont have any storage of their own so i was curious if i had them connected via a switch to the the mini i could use that as boot drive for al 3 of them since my disabled mum would love to be able to stream her tv shows in the kitchen while cooking or while shes in the bath since i have a bunch of 19inch portable monitors that could just be put up with a couple screws. kinda like they all boot from and load the os via network but then use their own hardware to actually run it.
