  1. Without other ideas, I suppose I'll move the drives on the older Z97 board to disable the acceleration to safely "unpair" the drives for reuse.
  2. So this may be a weird one. To start, I had no idea that SSD Acceleration was disabled on the newer chipsets with SSD/HDD combos. Upgraded the core of my gaming machine from a Z97 chipset to the Z390. In doing so, I made the jump into NVMe and use that as my primary boot drive. This works as intended and works great. The SSD/HDD combo I was using isn't too fancy, Western Digital 6TB Black and Intel 520 series 60G SSD. I planned on using the 6TB drive by itself for extra storage. The IRST software upon loading, tells me that Smart Response Tech is not supported in this driver version, but "Booting from previously existing RST volumes is allowed". I'm not booting from the previous drives, but they are recognized and working with as intended. The issue I'm having is.. I don't want it to be accelerated with this SSD. I'd like to disable it, to switch this SATA SSD with a 512GB version and use PrimoCache to accelerate this 6TB drive instead. However, because the feature is not supported I can't change any aspect of this "accelerated raid volume". I have tried loading an older version of the IRST driver/software to get around this, it the driver setup errors (I'm guessing because they aren't designed for the newer chipset). What are my options here? Remove the drives and boot them on a Z97 board to disable the acceleration? Is there a "hack" or work-around I'm not aware of?
  3. Through all my searching, I was coming to the conclusion that these didn't exist. Figured I would ask some other people who may have had some luck searching.
  4. Every 140mm thin or slim fan I find has 120mm mounting pattern, which I cannot use for my project. Anyone aware of a 140mm thin fan that actually mounts on 140mm pattern?
  5. Hopefully someone around has found an upgraded display for this notebook. I can find the 60hz panels, but the 144 or 120 panels aren't specifically labelled to work with this notebook. Any ideas if there are any that are confirmed working/fitting for this chassis?
