  1. Sounds great this one! Hope I can get a few of these
  2. hahahaha not very earthquake friendly! nice setup I just couldn't get away with 1x pcie
  3. I'll investigate dual power supply, Don't how I'll fit them in the case and how to connect them to work together. I wish there was a 1800W...
  4. My circuit limit is at least 2000W, I believe in europe electrical system is a bit different. Thanks for the link very informative
  5. I spoke with Asus from my country, and almost for there will be a version of dual slot 3090 blower style GPU. In my office we are using 4-way 2080ti for render in each workstation using corsair 1600W PSU, during render the power draw is around 1250W. We want to replace with 3090, if they use 350W each, making 1400W for 4. Our CPUs are i7 9800X with a TDP 165W, so that alone is 1565W. So my question is, possible to use the Corsair 1600W or I need something more powerful, if yes what could it be?
  6. Sounds like a temperature problem, probably needing new thermal paste and/or thermal pads for the memory. Do some maintenance on the cooling and try it out.
  7. I wouldn't pay more than the price of a 3070. A used 2080ti has a bit more VRAM but a new 3070 has warranty, so kinda evens out the value
  8. Knowing this I should stop dreaming about a dual slot 3090, memory in the back needs a cooling, so it also needs space. And a 3080 with something like 16GB of VRAM should be far away, like at least 1 year from now... I really wanted more VRAM than 2080ti for 3D rendering work. Quadros are slower and way more expensive.
  9. I'm pretty sure something should come down the line later, how late I don't know. But I guess 3070ti and 3080ti should be coming. As someone said, after BIG NAVI launch perhaps.
  10. Maybe the 3080ti? That will take some time to come out I suppose
  11. Our render software works with Nvidia Cuda cores only, and Quadros despite being fantastic are too expensive.
  12. Thank you for the correction, but it still is less. We are always on the limit with VRAM. Needing more. We are still using Windows 7 to save on VRAM as Windows 10 reserves 20% on every GPU no matter what. We might end up with dual 3090 because of that.
  13. Hey! I work with 3D rendering and we have always had 4-way GPUs in our systems as our workflows work with GPU rendering. This new launch is fantastic in terms of performance but disappointing in terms of VRAM amount. We have 2080ti blower style and each has 11GB of VRAM. The new 3080 has only 8GB, far from enough. We could consider te 3090 happily but the fact that is triple slot defeats the purpose. Anyone wondering if we'll get a 3080ti with more VRAM or possibly a dual slot 3090? Cheers!
  14. I understand what you're saying, when I meant antivirus I meant 3rd party like McAfee, Norton and other system hoggers. To be honest, I don't think any antivirus is useful. Even bit defender that only warns me about false positives. These days if you stay off of pirated software you're pretty much safe.
  15. Anti Virus is probably one of the worst things you can have installed on a PC. It's the main cause for significant resources draining with no real advantage. Windows defender is enough
