My only computer is a Dell Inspiron 15 3567. its, CPU:Core i3-7100U GPU:Onboard Intel HD 620 Storage: 1TB HDD 5400RPM RAM:4GB Display: 720P Operating System: Windows 10,Linux (Kali & Mint) Im planing to upgrade this as this is pretty much everything my parents can afford me. (Please don’t laugh or suggest too expensive ideas.. Not as rich as yall are) I already have bought a Kingston V400 240GB Sata 3 SSD Im also planing on upgrading the ram. Since I already have 4Gigs on slot 1, Im planning to get another 8gb ddr4 ram for the other slot. I dont need dual channel... ( But will dual channel work with 4Gb and 8Gb sticks on same speed) But my question is will it be worth the upgrade for 12GB RAM in total or should i just upgrade to 8GB total? I also use google chrome alot I do not plan on gaming at all (I cant game on this even if I wanted), This will also be my laptop for about 5-6 years in the future probably (Maybe more) So yeah... Will the CPU bottleneck if i install 12GB ram? Thanks.

I own a Dell Inspiron 3567( https://www.cnet.com/products/dell-inspiron-15-3567-15-6-core-i3-7100u-6-gb-ram-1-tb-hdd-english/specs/ ), Its resolution is 1366 x 768 (HD), i want to upgrade the screen to 1080p. Is this possible at all with this model? please dont ask me to buy a new laptop, i cant afford a new laptop. thank you
