  1. I saw the exact same problem on three LG 27GP850 monitors in a row and two 27GL850 monitors I bought in far 2019. Even the 34GN850 I tested in 2021 had the same effect. I increasingly think that this pixel inversion effect in the first minutes of the monitor operation after a long period of inactivity is some kind of “feature” of modern Nano IPS panels from LG with high refresh rate. Sometimes I think I'm going crazy when I see the pattern of these lines on my wall... I'm wondering if this problem is so common in new LG monitors, why is it so little talked about by so few owners?
  2. My Strix 1080 Ti produced same noises, when case closed on table (2 feet from my head). Tried a few RMA units and different vendors, chandge PSU and can say - no huge TDP cards without any whines (1080 Ti, at least). Maybe it's my and you unique ears, who knows. Coil whine does not affect the GPU overall reliability. When i playing in headphones or 5.1 system i cannot hear any noises. I would not worry about it, you can RMA, but not warranty that next card didn't produce whine or even will get louder than past unit. If you "find it completely unacceptable at this price point" stay on low and cheap TDP models, they have less coil whine chance.
