  1. Hey everyone! Posting here as a kind of last resort in troubleshooting, as Im all out of ideas and hoping someone here knows something I havent thought of yet! (All solutions I've currently tried are listed below. Please dont suggest doing something I've already tried lmao) Issue (TLDR): - Windows doesnt display my middle monitor in my 3 monitor setup, which also broke how my capture card displays Explanation: - On Wednesday July 12th I was streaming and gaming with friends from 7pm EST until 1am EST. Everything was working as it usually would. I turned off my computer, and went to sleep. When I went to turn my computer the next day around 5pm EST, something was off... Usually windows starts up on my middle display, I log on, and all 3 monitors turn on when windows loads, but Thursday it started up on my leftmost monitor. Halfway through logging in my screens went black, the login came back on my rightmost screen, and the 2 other displays showed the "Display port no signal" visual, then turned off. - Windows showed my right monitor as active in the "System > Display" settings, and monitors 2 & 3 as not being active. Going into my NVIDIA control panel, I was able to turn the left monitor back on, and Windows recognizes it (so now I have an active left and right monitor, but an inactive center monitor). However, when I tried turning on the middle monitor in said control panel, it freezes my computer and requires me to turn it off then back on again to get back into Windows. There's been so many random issues along the way too, such as missing drivers in my Device Manager & my boot devices not being recognized & windows randomly thinking its not been activated. I've tried swapping out the Motherboard, GPU, SSD boot drive, and slot the boot drive's installed in, driver install, and more, and nothing has worked. Even fresh installing windows with new hardware hasnt solved the issue. - So now I've bought a Motherboard and GPU I dont need, have wiped my OS, and spent hours manually installing drivers to no avail. I can clarify anything and provide pictures/images via Discord if needed Im so confused as to why one day it's working, then less than 24 hours later with no updates or offline updates or changes, this randomly bugs out and I cant find a solution Currently Attempted Troubleshooting Steps: Switching the order of ports the cables are connected to on the GPU Reseating all hardware Hardware-level GPU swap with identical model GPU Hardware-level Motherboard swap with identical model Motherboard Hardware-level SSD swap with identical model SSD Hardware-level Display Port Cable swap with identical cable Updating Windows Updating Motherboard BIOS Updating NVIDIA drivers from GeForce experience Updating NVIDIA drivers manually Updating missing PCI drivers, Intel Chipset drivers, Intel GPIO Host Controller drivers, and more manually Wiping and fresh installing Windows Clearing my CMOS battery & more If you know anything else I can try that may help, or something I can explain better, please let me know and I will be of as much help as I can!
  2. Hey everyone! Recently I upgraded my audio to a Shure SM7B and a GoXLR , and when the audio is configured right it works pretty well! (Headphones are the Razer Kraken 7.1 V's) However, my headphones are USB, not 3.5mm. Literally every video I found about using a GoXLR has the setup process/audio channel/fader sliders being separately controlled (You can adjust your Spotify Volume with a physical slider by setting the Spotify Volume to be outputting to the "Music" channel in the GoXLR) fine, but they all output to the 3.5mm jack directly on the device. I tried plugging my headphones in by using a USB -> 3.5mm adapter, but the headphones don't turn on or aren't outputting sound when I do so. Is anyone aware of a way to have the fader/separate channel functionality that comes with plugging 3.5mm headphones into the GoXLR but with using USB headphones plugged into your computer instead? Any help would be much appreciated!
  3. The board is a Z390-E, when I said "THE NEW MB?" I was referencing that board compared to the old board, but I apologize for not specifying that. I appreciate the help you guys!
  4. Would something like a 8700k or 9700k work for this board?
  5. Hey everyone! I recently bought an ASUS Z370-E board for my computer to upgrade my default gigabyte MB, and after transferring all the parts over and turning on the power button, the computer turns on for a second and then turns back off again. (I am including videos of me starting the computer up as well as pictures of various connections on the computer so you can see they (should) all be plugged in properly). My Specs are: Intel i7-770k Corsair H-110i Platinum EVGA GTX 1080ti 4 Corsair HD120 Fans 2 SSD's 1 HDD x2 16gb Sticks of 3200mhxz Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM Other components THE NEW MB? (ASUS Z390-E) 750 Watt PSU (Unsure of brand, was a default one that came with the default system when I bought it pre-built at Best Buy 2 years ago) I have tried: Reseating CPU Reseating RAM Swapping RAM stick placements Reseating (and removing) GPU Clearing CMOS Battery Reseating ATX power cables Problem at hand: Press power button Fans spin up for a second, then stop Red CPU Light on MB turns on for a second, then turns off when computer turns back off Draining the PSU of power and replugging it in also doesnt work The only thing I've changed about my system today has been the new motherboard, so I imagine it's either a problem with that, or the Power Supply somehow not being able to power the new board. I am currently scheduled to bring it in to Best Buy to see if they can take a look at it so I have a fresh set of eyes on it. Does anyone on the forums think they know my issue or how I can solve it? Help would be much appreciated and I am here to answer any questions you guys have! Thanks! - FaTe 20200112_185024000_iOS.MOV 20200112_190701713_iOS.heic
  6. Hey Everyone, I'm hoping someone is able to help me with an upgrade I'm going to my computer! My current storage setup is: A 120gb "ADATA" SSD (Files included in screenshots at the bottom) A 2tb Toshiba HDD (Files included in screenshots at the bottom) I am going to be purchasing a Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD in a few days, and my plan for storage will be: Copy my OS onto the new 1Tb drive (or any program files that are stored in the HDD right now) Wipe the old SSD, use it to put Overwatch on Keep the HDD to use for bulk/misc. storage I need some help with a few different things: - Firstly, how do I move everything from my SSD (my OS) onto the new SSD without something getting messed up and bricking my computer? - Secondly, what cables do I need to get and where do I plug them in to ensure I am able to power and run all 3 of my drives at the same time? - Thirdly, is there any tips or things I should do to make this whole process easier? Thank you to anyone who responds with help ^-^
  7. So, the all important question: what should you upgrade in your computer next? Right now I have a GTX 1070 Founders Edition, and 16gb of 1600mhz RAM (all specs listed in attachments). I am upgrading my OS from a 120gb SSD to a 1tb SSD, and I am looking for what to upgrade next. Should I upgrade to a GTX 1080 or 1080ti Founders Edition card, or buy some Corsair Vengeance PRO RGB RAM sticks? I am not 100% the cost of the new GPU since I can't seem to figure out why NVIDIA's website wont let me purchase cards off of it, and the RAM would be 32GB (4 x 8GB) of DDR4 3000MHz C15 for $379.99. I'm trying to get better general performance, and better performance in games (my most played being Overwatch). Should I spend $400 on new RAM or should I save up another $200 and get one of the GTX 1080/ti cards? Any help is appreciated, thank you guys ^-^
