  1. From a check, the English CC is fine. Setting it to "Auto-translate, English" dumps the whole caption into one screen.
  2. To LTT's excuse, I did see a similar thing-turns out, it was just Google trying to do English-English "translation" of the caption. So yeah, check what "language" YT chose for the captions.
  3. Oh yeah, its all fine, as long as you don't mind all these "minor issues". This sure "kills Linux", lol.
  4. Don't forget the 1660Super, which basically killed off both 1660 and 1660ti.
  5. For Google apps, that's because of Google's Policy for using Play Services.
  6. For the storage, pretty sure the "actual" "average" would be a SSD+HDD. And for anyone that *wants* a 2TB SSD, a SiPo is just $100. Or another $35 for a SN570. As for the keyboard suggestion, what. Please please please, just spend the ~$45 a K582, way better experience than the cheapo keyboards (also, forget the m+kb combos, the mouse will just be ewaste beside the g502). The mouse suggestion is great, but why is the g502 wireless still so pricey
  7. Just gonna remind people, especially in Canada: dellrefurbished is also an option. You ain't getting blinged out Optiplexes, but you do get 6th/7th-gen intel PCs now.
  8. Where are you seeing the price? On the linked Indegogo, the price is $1049-$1349. Given, its still pricier than the top-spec Deck, but its nowhere close to the price of the Asus foldable laptop.
  9. Its a very capable portable PC. Mainly for me, it means an easy way to play FFXIV and any other PC games on the go. Also means not having to rebuy games to play on the device.
  10. If you're looking for a Media Player that's going to stay connected to your TV...just get a ShieldTV. Cheaper, and you can get one TODAY. As for the Deck...it should do 4k videos easily, just dunno about Netflix (likely not 4k), as that has much more to do with DRM bullshit.
  11. If you want low-cost wired earbuds, you can't really go wrong with $10 Panasonic earbuds...at least until you end up with devices without the 3.5mm port. \ Also, sometimes, its just more convenient to use a flashlight than a phone's flash.
  12. Chromebooks are actually WAY better than Android here, have a N22 (bought on 2016) still getting ChromeOS updates. Also, there's the LaCrOS project to split the browser from the OS, so even after end of support, the device can keep getting browser updates.
  13. So the part about Linus trying to use apt in Manjaro...any reason as to why Manjaro even tried to handle it? Should have been much simpler to symlink apt to a command saying that the command is not supported.
  14. Actually, go look at the video again, the warning does say that essential packages were getting yeeted.
