  1. worked is the past tense, it worked before like a normal motherboard, and one day it suddenly stopped posting to screen. we checked the cables too to make sure they're tight
  2. b350 gaming plus, worked fine for 6 months then one day it didnt work, tried 3 different ram kits and 3 different gpus, tried all 4 ram slots saperately, or 2 or 4 ram configs, different pcie slots, 4 different cpus, it powers on, cpu debug led goes on for a second then goes off, everything is running, but no display.. resetted cmos, tried simple tricks like powering psu off/on quickly, is this fixable or does anyone know what would be wrong with it to try and find someone who can fix it? thank you.
  3. did you try this hotfix? and sorry for replying to an old thread, i dont think there's a need to start a new one since we have almost reached a solution here any updates on this? i have the same exact problem with the same board and same oil leak under the heatsink vrm.
  4. so i repasted my xfx rx 470 yesterday after putting it up for sale for a while i decided to put it back into my system. the new pasting made it cooler but it still is loud as it was before. i feel like the fans are giving out. because this gpu was quiet and cool before i cleaned it a few years ago. after i cleaned it in around 2020 it got loud and hot but after recleaning yesterday now its only loud. have i damaged the fans the first time around ? should i get the fans replaced? should i be using new thermal pads as the old ones are kinda ripped apart and i just took bits and pieces and put them on the supposed things they go on. here's some clips so you can hear the audio and sorry for the messy text. i wanted to tell everything in as little as possible. also ignore the beeping sound its someones car being robbed outside i think. 1) idle 2) in game 3) yesterday right after pasting it sounded so weird and that was at 1000rpm only. 5. so much browsing later; i repasted my card and now the temps are higher than before repasting. that was 3 years ago. today i redid it. still no change, i looked through some internet forums and there's people with the same problem. maybe i need fresh new thermal pads since the old one is a little ripped apart, ill just ask a professional to see if they can "solve" it for me.
  6. no, when did i say that? its a game with an overlay for the metrics. i literally just cleaned my pc, where was it that you saw dirt? or are you talking about my software?? can't comprehend your point.
  7. i'll set a custom curve and lower the voltages a little bit to see if that solves my fan issue. which software should i use though? msi ab or amd adrenalin? i heard adrenalin isn't accurate enough but i can't use msi's software since the voltage graph simply doesn't let me modify anything on my pc at least.
  8. im using some cooler master mastergel. as i used on my cpu and a friends cpu it works fine. is it bad for gpu's ? and when i removed the thing paste was slightly running down the sides of the die. so it must have been enough yet it was bad before repasting
  9. edit edit reply: tested in call of duty black ops 3 multiplayer, tested 4-5 times and had those results ... 70ish, 80ish, 69ish, 85ish, all super loud except the very first time it was mildly loud, after that i opened the case and wiggled the gpu a bit. its very noisy im sure it wasn't made to run this way?
  10. specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sTy6zf gpu: xfx rx 470 4gb red fans model temps are: 80-90ish with 2200rpm which is like 60-70% quite loud, or 65-70ish with 2200rpm which is like 60-70% quite loud.
  11. as a follow up i found this guy saying its about too much paste, personally i dropped a half cm worm so a bit more than a pea size. should i repaste again?
  12. problem 1/ so i repasted my gpu since my last repaste years ago was bad (whoops too late) and now ingame my gpu either gets to about 68 degrees or goes over 80. its so weird to me. problem 2/ the fans ramp up to 2200rpm no matter which scenario. its loud especially in my cheapo microatx case. i can set a custom curve for the temps but im hoping there's a software issue causing this that i can fix. softwares aren't super accurate and its more convenient to just let things run on auto. any solutions mates? 13. Ok this is so f stupid but i plugged a different monitor then the old monitor back and it works perfectly now. Literally what is that amd… after i opened support tickets with amd, gigabyte and corsair.
  14. I have not. But when i entered the bios first time it said the cmos had been reset as if i took out the cmos battery. Settings were all to defaults
  15. I enabled the igpu in bios and just plugging the gpu in works, the issue is i already sold the gpu and payed the extra for the (g) version of the ryzen 5 5600. I need to get this working while i buy another gpu. Any fixes ? The system is running. I plug the hdmi cable into the motherboard and the screen goes black indicating that its detecting something. But nothing shows up… is it a driver issue? Should i reset cmos ? Maybe hdmi port not working even though its being detected ? EDIT/ i put windows into safe mode and rebooted, now even the gpu doesn’t display anything help… EDIT 2/ booting with safe mode made igpu show display but not gpu, what lol. How can one just make them both work in normal windows. I literally enabled it in bios setting igpu mode to “forced” from auto and disabled being the other options. Update/ Deleted the drivers using ddu and reinstalled them without internet, when the install almost finishes the igpu stops displaying and i have to uninstall the drivers again.
  16. alright so following the steps on that website i found the drivers but its a large zip folder and windows cant install the driver from there... EDIT: nevermind that worked, tysm. Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Microsoft 10.0.19041.1 2006-06-21 http://www.driveridentifier.com/images/download_small_icon.png Update
  17. i need proper bluetooth drivers for my sony vaio svf1531gsa laptop, bluetooth works but wont detect any bluetooth devices. their website for downloads doesnt work and i tried multiple browsers. its just a dead link and sony support isnt helping, this may not be the best place to ask such a question but hoping that someone here will have them or have a similar issue they resolved. the laptop didnt even have bluetooth drivers when i bought it used, the old owner suggested i redownload drivers so i used an app to do that, now i have bluetooth but cant detect my bluetooth headphones or mobile phones or anything else...
  18. Thanks! I have an amd card and i found some setting called HDMI Scaling and turned it up a little until it it was back to normal view
  19. Couldnt find that anywhere, i recall when i used a ps4 on this monitor the ps4 would have such a setting in but not the monitor
  20. Hi so today i unplugged my hdmi cable to check my monitor model number for my brother, when plugged back in the screen is zoomed from the corners and it makes them almost invisible and unable to touch, its like some of my screen is off bounds in the black corners. Check the pictures to see. what i tried thus far is: - delete the latest windows update - uninstall and reinstall gpu drivers - restarting the pc/ unplug and replug the hdmi cable several times - i cant do a system recovery as i didnt know its disabled by default... tf i have an exam in two days and this is not ideal for studying, when i use 720p for my resolution its fixed but its blurry of course so i want to fix it for 1080p and have it return to normal any ideas ?
  21. Ahh man the bad luck never leaves me so i did everything as supposed and changed the thermal paste to cooler master master gel pro and cleaned the heatsink and cooler and everything i put a pea size in the middle and that should be more than needed, trying to reduce my gaming temps from 73c max, but it has gone up and now hits a max of 89, thats too much. Reducing clocks and voltage doesnt seem to affect all that much as it still hits that limit then stops rising. (Its the limit on an rx 470) or at least in afterburner thats the limit. What shall i do ? Repaste ? Use more ? Will that change anything ? Different paste to be bought ? Am i missing something ? remove the screws, clean heatsink and old paste off, apply new paste, clean the chokes and mosphets and whatever else is on there, have i removed ‘thermal pads’ by mistake ? Do they even exst on a rx 470? The cooling pipes are getting hot when the gpu is working btw.
