  1. Thanks guys. Yeah, wasn't sure why the motherboard provided an adapter when it had a dedicated slot anyway. Got all confused about write speed increases and such. Haha!
  2. Hi, I'm quite new to PC building but have a tiny bit of knowledge. I just want to make sure I'm getting things right. My brother has provided me with some spare parts of his. They are all compatible as far as I'm aware and haven't been used before. The parts are as follows. IntelCore i7 5820K s2011 v3 Asus X99-DELUXE DDR4 Motherboard DDR4 VengLPX 16GB 2666Mhz CorsairH100i GTX Hydro Cooler MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G 912-V330-018 Samsung 970 Evo NvMe M.2 SSD Elgato HD60 Capture Card I've read the manual of the motherboard and just want to double check. Which PCI slots should I be using for each of the GPU and and the Elgato? Also, would I be better using the adapter for the SSD and plug that into a PCI slot or should I put it into the M.2 slot on the right hand side of the board? Your help is all very much appreciated. Sorry for probably the most noob of questions but I guess we all have to start somewhere, right?
