Hey guys,
I have a laptop with decent specs and it had been sitting for a while. A friend gave it to me a year ago because he had bluescreen issues related to the GPU.At fisrt, i tought it could be related to a software/driver issue. After multiple tries on the software side, I finally cracked this thing opened this week and, after a close inspection of the board, i rapidly spotted the cause of the issue (refer to pictures).
I am not an electronics expert. However, i like to repair my own stuff and i hope that i could fix it so i could give it to somebody instead of it finishing its life in a landfill. I tried to look for schematics for my particular board (AsusX550JD rev 2.0). As you probably know, you are more likely to fall on classified FBI files than to find the type of information that im looking for.
My question is the following: Could anybody give me a hint on how to properly repair this thing?
