  1. So i got windows 7 Pro 32-bit installed from the disk, installation went fine but i have a small problem. The right mouse button does not work. It does the same action as the left one, so i can click something, but i do not get any menu. So does anyone know how to fix that? And i don't know if anyone knows a fix for this, but the headphone-jack does not work either. When i plug-in my earphones i do not get sound and it does not show it is plugged in. And one more thing, the battery does not get detected, now i do not care too much about that since the laptop works fine on the adapter, but if anyone knows a easy fix, let me know.
  2. where could i find the install dmg? just in case in need it
  3. yeah my usb sticks are broken, i dont know if i could put the install dmg on a disk and pop that in? i am assuming that it has the same function of Command + R to get in recovery mode. i was trying to install windows 10 32 bit. i am not sure what you mean with "the option boot menu" i put in the installation disk, restart the macbook and hold Alt (which is the Option key i believe) which leads me to the startup manager, and then i can select other startup disks. it gives me the option for the hard drive or the windows disk i put in, i select the windows disk and then i get a black screen with "Select CD-ROM boot type" but the keyboard does not respond. i saw people saying to hold 1 and things like that, but i wont work
  4. i will have to look into that, i do not have any usb stick's right now so i have to see if it will work with a disk. But i am already coming across problems when trying to install Windows by holding down Alt while starting up, and then selecting the windows disk, it says "Select CD-ROM boot type" and i am not able to type things to continue. and there are no good solutions for it that i saw.
  5. oh that is good to hear! now i am going to have to figure out how to make an installation disk, because i read somewhere that macosx 10.6.8, needs an installation disk, and that Command key + R won't work. and it indeed does not work after trying
  6. well even if i re-install the OS, that does not de-authorize it from the person its apple account right? i was just wondering if the person was able to see if someone is using their macbook, and perhaps be able to see the IP adress i login with and so on. i am just being careful with such things, since i found it in the dumpster, just dont wanna get in trouble for re-using someones macbook that the person threw away. and i found out that it was not that safe anymore, but i cannot install any new versions. but i might try installing windows 10
  7. I recently found an old MacBook in the trash, a MacBook 1.1. I believe it is from 2006. It still works and i would love it if i were able to use it. The thing is, there were two accounts on it from the previous users, i deleted both of them, but did not de-authorize the macbook from their i-tunes account. I made an new Admin account and everything of the previous owner should be deleted. Now i understand that the macbook is still registred to the apple id of the previous owner. I was wondering if the previous owner would be able to find out if their macbook is still in use if they look on the apple account and look under their list of devices that are linked to their apple id. Also, if i were to re-install the operating system, at some point i would have to login with an apple ID. Would it have to be the exact same apple ID that was used before? or can i make a new one myself and use it for the installation?
