Some of the more expensive GPU's have a 0 RPM/ 0DCB mode where the fans only turn on when it reaches a certain temp. Has this just started happening or has it always happened?

If you bought it relatively recently than you should be able to take it to BestBuy or call them with your problem then they will probably fix it or replace it.

You should try another display, if you don't have another monitor then you can hook it up to a T.V., you should also try a different display cable.

You might just try to reset your CMOS, you can find out how to do this on your MOBO on the internet.

What do you mean nothing? You have to be more specific otherwise it is extremely difficult to diagnose an issue.

You have some pretty high power components, you're going to want to spend probably about double, or close to it.

I've seen instances where upon the power cable being inserted into the power supply the system turned on by its self, after a power supply swap it stopped doing that. I can't say for certain that is what is happening with your system however it is a possibility. If you still have your old power supply, it still works well and is not to low wattage to use with the new components, if so you could un-plug your graphics card and plug your display into the motherboards video out. (Only works if you CPU has the capability to output video) Doing this may lower the voltage requirements enough that your old PSU can be used to test. Let me know how it goes! -TB

You may also want to try to reset the CMOS which you can find out how to do on the internet. If you find it to be the graphics card you may want to put the graphics card into a different slot on the mobo if you have one, if it posts then you probably want to replace the motherboard if you are using the system for gaming because the top most slot has the most bandwidth. If you put the graphics card into a lower a slot and then start-up your favorite game you will probably notice that it is significantly slower. However if your not gaming or creating any content like video editing, photo editing, etc. you may be fine with using it like that without having to replace the motherboard. Also, if the pc turns on for a few seconds but then turns off, In my experience it may be a CPU overheating issue. However if it stays on and you have to turn it off, it could be the graphics card, (If you have one that is) it could be the video out on the motherboard, it could be the monitor, or it could be something as simple as the display cable. To test if it is the graphics card plug the display cable into the motherboard and try to boot it up, if you get a display you need a new graphics card. To test if its the motherboard you can get a different cable and plug it into a different spot on the mobo. To test if it's the monitor and you don't have another monitor you can plug it into a T.V. Cable is self explanatory.

If your motherboard has a small digital display that shows codes look at the read out while trying to start it up. If you can get a code from the motherboard than you can look it up with the model and manufacturer of the motherboard.

Your'e going to want to unplug the psi cable keeping to power supply switch too on. Wait a hour or so and press and hold the power button to fully drain the capacitors. You won't have to hold the power button for the whole time just a few minutes, if that.

I've got an EVGA 80+ Bronze unit and it works good, I had an identical unit before this one and it failed but I was able to get a replacement for free through Amazon. I would highly recommend a higher quality one, like the Seasonic Focus unit that the guy above suggested. Seasonic are the best of the best and are very reliable. Your'e power supply is not something that you want to skimp on. Definitely do NOT get a case, power supply combo, those are the worst of the worst. I would go with the Seasonic.

Hey, I have a mid 2010 MacBook Pro that has been running pretty slow when starting up from shut down, the cpu is pegged at 100% for about a minute is there anything that I can do to further optimize it? I have already upgraded to 8gb's of ram and switched out the H.D.D to a SSD.

Ya it could be the video card but, it might also be the driver you said that you are behind a little bit on the drivers. Maybe if you update it it will get rid of the badly installed one and rewrite it. Just try a lot of different things.

You might want to try to right click on the Nvidia control panel and select exit, it should open back up in the icon bar and try to set up your monitors after it pops back up in the icon bar.

I see that's very odd, sorry that I didn't quite understand. Ya i'm the same way I could never go back to just one monitor.

Here maybe this will help. EDIT: This is my dual monitor setup try to mirror this but without turning monitor 2 vertically unless of course that's what you want. Also did you want to have the displays act as one single display or have them be their own independent displays?

Hi, so I cloned my original OS drive (Windows 7) and replaced it with the new one. When I went back into the Computer tab in Windows to see all of the drives, it shows the original and the new one even though the old one has been disconnected sort of like a "Zombie Drive". Is this normal?

Yes. And yes it could be the cable/ adapter, you might want to try unplugging and replugging the adapter/ cable in and or switching them. It might be that a wire broke inside of the adapter/ cable to.
