  1. Well, we have success. It turned on, we had fan spin and the hard drive led was flashing. Of course, the extent of the success will not be known until I get my video card.
  2. Oh, my goodness. I’m a doofus. I was using the wrong cable. Did I ruin the whole thing by trying to turn it on so often? All I did was cut the sleeve that keeping the 10 pin and the extra 2 pin connector together, so I could get the smaller one the cpu power. I still find that this cable is too short for me to snake around behind the mobo and it just dangles in front, which I don’t like. Is there a better way?
  3. I didn’t think this was a possibility, to be honest. I don’t have an extra graphics card.
  4. I’m also using 4 ddr3 2 gb DIMMs. Two are Samsung and two came from the prebuilt system I had.
  5. Yes, I saw that and I read it in the manual as well. I had to do some surgery with the psu cables, as the one I bought had the 10 pin connector and the cpu power cable sleeved together and it wouldn’t reach. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting as hard as I could to get it to work, but no luck.
  6. I forgot to mention, that the main reason I went with fx was to use ddr3 from my old system and I found another 4 gigs. I also used the 1tb mech drive from the old system. i had it plugged into a power bar.
  7. I just built this computer. Here are the parts. I ordered the video card separately and put it together now and planned on putting in the video card later, a GTX 750 ti. I thought I plugged everything in properly, referring to the manual and build videos all the time. But when I plugged the psu in and hit the power button, the lights and fans would come on for an instant and then it would all turn off and the power button becomes unresponsive. Please help.
