  1. Ok so with RAM out of the way, is there a way to turn off mobo beep codes? Instead of your original solution of yanking out the cables.
  2. No its not working (pc) The tech guy disabled the Beep codes somehow because the condition is the same as before and the PC not starting but without any beeping. The original 9 year old RAM I had was from Kingston. I need to check the new one. Not yet sure on ebay, especially when seeing Linus get scammed all the time xD.
  3. 1) Did you read the whole thing? (no offense) but I said that no beep codes are coming since the tech guy came in. 2) One is 9 years old so...sure. But the other one is 2 years old at best so thats a bit too soon. 3) I don't think I trust ebay enough to give a reliable product but I'll see since I can only make 1 purchase at the moment. 4) Oh Alright. Thanks.
  4. Note : This is copied from my thread in Memory section which got no replies so I am trying here. Thanks. So Basically I had 2x2 RAM sticks. It beeped and apparently it was a fault with memory. I thought that one of the RAM Slots on The Mobo went out so I tried all combinations and sure enough one of the RAM Slots didn't work with both sticks installed. So I ran my PC on 2 GB for a few days and realised I couldn't really do much with 2 gb ram and integrated gfx. So I called up my technician and he came in to check the PC. The previous night I had basically restored my pc to the "broken" state (inserting both sticks) because of eh "family stigma". Basically undergrad (me) not being smart enough and stuff. So he came in, checks it and it doesn't work, Like expected. So he grabs the RAM sticks and rubs them with an eraser and both don't work. I told him to insert it one by one and somehow, it didn't work as well. So basically, between the previous night and that day, both RAM sticks died. Idk why but is there a button in the Mobo to stop the beeping? Because my mobo isn't beeping anymore but not starting either. He takes his own RAM stick out and inserts it into both slots and..It works in both. Welp I was Wrong I guess. He said that both sticks have burnt out (idk how that happened from the one time I switched on the PC to see if it went back to the broken state). And he says he'll get a DDR3 4 GB RAM stick (unsure about mhz but my mobo only supports 1333 mhz and 1066 mhz) for 2800 INR (Approx 40$ US) which I am pretty sure is a scam. But again my family not trusting me to buy a 1500 INR (Approx 20$ US) RAM stick online and want to go with his solution. So my questions are ; 1) Is there a button to turn off the beep codes on the mobo. 2) What could've possibly happened that caused both RAM sticks to burn at the same time the one time I turned on the PC. 3) Any Trusted 4 GB DDR3 1333 mhz RAM stick thats cheaper than his amount. 4) What does rubbing an eraser on the RAM stick do?

OS : Win 8 Pro 64 bit I want to know ; 1) The Issue 2) Any DIY I can do since I don't have any money to spare. Also I broke one if the plastic stands of the CPU cooler. 15. Ok I will try to find it and tell you that tomorrow.
  16. The American Megatrands logo popped up on start and you can try looking it up. You can uh tell me if I can look for the model no. On the board since PC won't start.
  17. Its an Intel Mahobay Sandy Bridge chipset thats the most I know about it.
  18. Not prebuilt. Mobo is AMI (said in post already)
  19. My PC is giving off 4 beep codes and what I dug up about it is that its probably a video error, however I want some confirmation and some DIY tips on what I can do myself. Specs: Processor : Intel Pentium G620 GFX : Integeated Intel HD Graphics Mobo : Intel Mahobay Sandy Bridge (AMI mobo) OS : Win 8 Pro 64 bit RAM : 4 gigs (2x2) I have uploaded the beeps in attachment. I want to know what problem is it and what can I do about it myself since I don't have the money to spare right now. I have uploaded the beeps in the attachment. The first noise is me turning on my PC. Then the beeps. Thanks in Advance. 56966
