  1. Specs: Windows 10 Home 64-bit CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 RAM 2(8 GB DDR4 SDRAM G Skill 3466) = 16.0GB Motherboard Micro-Star International Co. Ltd B450 TOMAHAWK (MS-7C02) (AM4) Graphics 8176MB ATI AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (ASUStek Computer Inc) So I just upgrade my gfx card and decided to follow the instructions in the video, but I realized I had to update my BIOS in order to have the option to enable 4g decoding and resize bar. So I updated my bios to the latest version no problem and saw the options available. I enabled both options but now I end up getting stuck in the BIOS even after saving and restarting. It doesn't seem to see any of my storage drives afterwards. I have to go back to default settings in the BIOS and I'm able to boot into windows. What do?
  2. Should I return it? Yeah the red light on cpu is gone now but it still won't boot. I have to hard reset it and everything works fine, so should I keep it and hope for another BIOS update? What other boards would you recommend or do you think it's worth keeping? I'm using a ryzen 3600 with 16gb 3466Mhz.
  3. I'm using a ryzen 3600 on it, I've updated the bios for ryzen 3rd gen compatibility but I can't restart from windows otherwise it stops detecting the cpu. Then I have to hard reset it and it'll detect it. Everything else works but if I try resting it through windows, it doesn't work. Has anyone else been experiencing this?
  4. UPDATE! The cheap bt adapters couldn't find/see the ps4 controllers
  5. Am I seeing this correctly? https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-crosshair-5-formula-z-republic-of-gamers-motherboard-atx-socket-am3-plus-amd-990fx-series/specs/ It says "Bluetooth 2.1 EDR" under "Networking."
  6. Yeah I'll post an update once I try it out. Thanks again.
  7. Hmm, could've sworn it said bluetooth, oh well. Thanks man, I'll get 4 of those since its cheaper.
  8. I'm planning a pc build for 4 player rocket league split screen and was wondering if there are any pci bluetooth adapters that anyone can recommend. Is it a good idea or would wired be better? Here is one that I have picked out so let me know if this is fine or are there any better one's that you know of. https://www.amazon.com/Fenvi-Wireless-2-4Ghz-150Mbps-5Ghz-300Mbps-Hackintosh/dp/B073GW9SW9/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0711B6M93&pd_rd_r=6Y9Q8D14PH46T2J5AJ08&pd_rd_w=huCm1&pd_rd_wg=95Yxx&refRID=6Y9Q8D14PH46T2J5AJ08&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=foi04-20&linkId=11616bef7beba5060dc7b9dfd0fc5dc6
  9. Didn't think this thread was still active, haha. Well as a final update, last week I was able to eliminate the throttling by simply underclocking the fx-8350 to 3.8GHz. I also disabled the turbo core technology and a couple of other settings in the BIOS but I'm pretty sure simply underclocking it was the solution. I now get a solid 3.8GHz for everything and my PC is now snappy AF! Quick load times! High fps gaming! 550+ CB scores! Etc! And yes I added an extra fan above the VRM heatsink just in case. I've also purchased the ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard so I can run my old fx-9370 on it and am waiting for it to come in the mail. I'm still getting rid of the MSI 970 Gaming motherboard (any buyers? still works!) and concluding that it simply can't handle these CPUs at full throttle. Thanks for the help everyone!
  10. Ok, thanks. I'll see about the cooler once I finalize what case I'm getting.
  11. The case that I have picked out seems to be the smallest I can find and I'm also stuck with using the fx 8350. Do you know of any smaller cases that I could use? Making the pc truly console sized isn't my biggest priority, just something to work off of.
  12. I'll be using the stock cooler. I'm going to under-clock it just as a precaution and will slowly bring it up later. So the MB I have in the list is fine you think?
