  1. Thanks a bunch! I indeed saw chipset drivers on the drivers page of ny motherboard, but saw someone on youtube download them from intels website, so that got me confused.
  2. Hi everyone, Im currently planning on building a new pc and its been a while since ive done my last one. Ive been wondering about the drivers which i need after installing windows, i know i need my motherboard and graphics drivers, but sometimes i see people talking about chipset drivers (im going to build a pc with an i5 11600k with a Z590 motherboard, asus rog maximus xiii hero). Do i need to install these chipset drivers? And if so, where do i find them? Ive been looking around for a bit without any luck. Thanks!
  3. been treating me very well, ive been busy with work especially last 2 years so what i have now is way overkill for that, but i want to pick up gaming a little bit again, currently on 32GB RAM, EVGA GTX1070 and a ASUS maximus IX for motherboard. gaming would be mostly battlefield (4 and probably 2042) and GTA V at 2560x1440.
  4. i'm still on a i7 7700k, works perfectly fine and had served me well with no problems but after a couple of years i'm after something new. pricewise for the cpu alone i'd like to spend no more than 400 EUR (11700k is where i live around 370). I'll have a look into the 12 series. i'm guessing that after some of these years a 12 series i5 would be as good or better than my 7700k?
  5. hi everyone, ive had my pc for a fair few years now and i think it's time for it to be upgraded. ive been looking around for components and came across the i7 11700k for a CPU, but looking further i came across some really negative reviews of it. is it really that bad? what would be a better option for a CPU if it is? ive always had intel CPU's so i would like to stay with them. thanks! jasper
  6. thank you very much, ill try it out whenever i have the time for it.
  7. thank you, if i understand correctly, i'll use the new ssd as the "usb stick" which you would normally use for a fresh win 10 install, and download a fresh copy of win 10 on there, then boot the pc with only the new ssd plugged in?
  8. Hi everyone, i currently have windows 10 installed on a 120 gb ssd. i bought a new 1TB ssd and i want to switch over windows 10 from the old ssd to the new one, since the old one keeps bothering me telling that the disc is full. i also have 2 other HDD's with files and games on them, but i want to have a clean install of windows 10 on the new ssd. Is anyone familiar with the proces to do that? (in short, i want to transfer my windows 10 from an old ssd to a new one, it doesn't matter that my old files get deleted in the proces, i want a clean install of windows). i have windows 10 home i bought and is activated trough my microsoft account. Thanks in advance! greetings, Jasper
  9. alright, thanks for the insight and help! greetings, -jasper
  10. they're the same sticks, just different amount of GB. i was just wondering if it would actually work because i already have the 16GB set, and soon my brother is also buying a 16GB set, so his 8GB set i will be able to use. thanks for your help! -jasper
  11. hello! i currently have a set of 16GB (2x8) HyperX fury DDR4 2133MHz RAM in my pc. i was wondering if it is possible to add a set of 8GB (2x4) HyperX fury DDR4 2133MHz sticks. they're the same stick, just 2 are 8GB, and 2 are 4GB. would this cause any issues? thanks in advance! -jasper
