  1. I built this system more than about 3 years ago, I think? For schoolwork and REALLY light 1080p gaming Specs: CPU - AMD A10-7700k 4 cores, 4 threads GPU - AMD Radeon R7 200 series, 1Gb RAM - Kingston Hyper X 8Gb 1600mhz (2x) Moba - MSI A78M-E35 OS - windows 10 It was pretty good for what it was made for. (browsing and some schoolwork). For about a month now I realized my computer was slowing down and finally got a message from some apps that my system was running low at Virtual memory. It got me thinking I removed virtual memory and some more stuff (hibernate file) when I freshly upgraded to windows 10 like 2 years ago, but why would I need virtual memory? When I have 16Gb of RAM which is more than enough, then I checked my RAM I only have 6.9Gb in use and available and 9.1Gb is in hardware reserved. So I tried lots of troubleshooting like windows memory diagnostic and that system configuration advance boot setup, (my Ram timing were right too) none of them worked to remove the colossal Hardware reserved.... I finally got down'n'dirty and opened my desktop and started switching some RAM's in and out slot 1 and slot 2 with just 1 individual RAM.... as a result all of them works perfectly fine (RAM and slots) if I put one RAM to one slot it would show up that it has 6.9Gb in use and 1.1Gb in Hardware reserved, Its the same vice versa with either RAM and slot. But when I put them back together, I go back all the way to step one and have 6.9Gb in use and available but 9.1Gb is in Hardware reserved. I Give up..... unless.. tl;dr - My desktop is trolling me... what else can I do?
