  1. Just curious about others but LTT Water bottles and screwdrivers are popular at my place of work, just wondering what other industries are some of yall from?
  2. Simple answer is No. All the parts and variables to this "yes or no" question is much more complex then a simple yes or no answer. I'll try to keep this short. Cost of AMD vs Intel Keep in mind, majority of the wealthy people tend to not splurge frivolously on things things*** (based on what I've seen and according to a quick google search to back my claim) So currently, Intel's i9-9900k beats AMD's R7 2700x by ~20% in terms of performance across the board but at almost double the price. Keep in mind the 2700x is more than capable of alongside the best GPU's on the market without bottlenecking the system. A simpler way to look at it is that though yes a wealthy individual can just drop cash on an Intel chip and get marginally better performance compared to its AMD counterpart but most Wealthy*** people are more wise with their money and wont necessarily mind getting the slightly less performing but still overall super capable AMD counterpart but you know just like everything. Those balls to the wall wealthy people that plan to game in 4k 144hz with your RTX 2080ti's in SLI then sure you might pick the Intel i9-9900k but this is in my honest opinion is the only way I can justify dropping $500+ on a CPU when there are more competitive FPS/$ alternatives. ***Keyword is wealthy, not "rich" or "new money. There's a difference and its not an argument I want to get into at the moment"***
  3. Long story short, I have a horrible case when it comes to cable management, is it safe for me to cut and tape together certain cables to make them shorter and other ones longer? Ive done it before to speakers and have a basic understanding of it. Only thing I'm concerned with is what issues might this cause and is there anything else I should know. The specific cables I would need to shorten are: 20+4 MOBO (the scariest) - Shorten a couple different fans - Shorten and extend SATA Power - Extend Edit: Too broke for cable mods at the moment
  4. So I'm looking for a headset that can replace the 2 that I currently have, I need something that's wireless, and can be used with both my Xbox One X and my PC Rig. I'm tired of having to switch headsets and wires suck. Whoever has the solution for this, I'll give you 10 imaginary high fives over the interweb, thanks.
  5. After 10 minutes of google, still haven't been able to find a clear answer. A friend has a really limited budget and just wants to run CSGO at 1080p 144hz, is this doable with a Ryzen 2400g?
  6. Well, it depends. I was referring to the PCIE based NVME M.2 Storage not the SATA based.
  7. This can get pricey real quick lol I mean this would just annihilate your load times though
  8. My fault, I misread that. Should've had my coffee before internet.
  9. Great mid-range build, Just don't forget to get some fans ?
  10. Here's my two cents: You have a few options here: First: Pull your Samsung Evo out of your system and sell the lot for roughly $250 - $300 on Craigslist, OfferUp and etc, (Assuming you're based in the US), It's a pretty outdated system and It will be hard to move, but I'm sure someone somewhere has a limited budget and just wants to run some E-Sports Title. Second: If you have the patience, do a complete part-out of the system and sell it individually on Ebay (Just match prices or undercut what's listed). This should give you the most bang for your buck especially if you have a proprietary MOBO that's specifically from that manufacturer. I've seen cases where someone is looking for that specific MOBO for some reason.Once again though, Pull your SSD out of there lol. Third: Since it is outdated and pretty old, consider donating it to a charity, individually look up the prices for each part and when tax season comes around file it as under "Charitable Donation" and base the value around how much each individual part is. (Depending on what taxable income you make yearly) *Disclosure: I am in no way a tax expert, anything that you decide to do should be provided by your own research, This is just something I've done every two years and I get a nice write-off out of it.* Fourth: Give it to someone that wants to start playing PC games lol.
  11. a B360 will be good enough, As for which one, it will literally be dependent on preferences because a lot of them will just be interchangeable with the features that come with them. (From reputable brands like MSI, Asus, Gigabyte and etc.) My suggestion is just shop whatever's on sale (From a reputable brand) whenever you're ready to purchase
  12. technically no, a lot of it depends on what you'll be using it for. Mostly differences in ports, PCIE lanes and etc. For gaming it Should roughly perform the same. https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3277-intel-b360-vs-z370-chipset-differences-benchmark-h370
  13. I mean having an M.2 for his boot drive will be better than an SSD in terms of how fast windows will run, opening apps and etc.
