  1. Already have that. The nitro+ has this too but I use a different one. So in other words, you say just enjoy the powerfull card? What about power usage? If I wanted to reduce it, which option should I use?
  2. Hi, so 2 weeks ago I've bought myself the sapphire 7700xt nitro+. This thing is a beast! BEST CARD I EVER HAD! It runs no hotter then 55 degrees. It looks like a beast too. This card is really AMAZING and I enjoy it so much! However, I heard a few things about undervolting which is beneficial for the card, especially it's lifespan (not that I'm worried, this card is a tank). I'm not worried about the temps either since 55 degrees is like legit the most coolest card I've ever had. Why I want to do this is cause it might expand the lifespan+it's great for powersaving. I see that I have another option: Hypr RX Eco mode. Which limits the fps and actually downclocks the card as well. Hypr RX is also nice to have, since you then see what the card is almost capable of and how powerfull and enjoyable it is, but then the card consumes power and needs to work a bit. Which is "the best" optimal option for this card? Should I just leave it for what it is and just plug and play with hypr rx/standard option on? (FPS and cooling is no problem at all, just the power and lifespan might be a problem but not too worried) Is there any feedback regarding these options? Specs: -R5 7600 non x (no pbo), msi tomahawk b650 wifi, corsair vengeance ddr5 6000mhz cl30 32gb, kingston kc3000 1tb -for the moment, a bad xfx rx590 gpu that makes tons of noises due to fancurve (else it goes to 90 degrees) -1080p144hz1ms 24 inch display from lg (labeled "a" as well) -case: fractal design meshify 2 -psu: corsair rmx 750w 80+ gold Due to me playing 1080p144hz, the gpu will be used lightly for the time being as games get heavier, so does the gpu usage. Which is exacly what I want, cause I want to use the card for as long as possible. So in other words, I have room to undervolt without losing fps at all in games.
  3. Thank you! Jay even said that cpu's don't use that much power. Gpu's do. So should I set PBO back to auto? Because I've disabled it to save power. Not that it'll lower the temps. Btw I got the arctic freezer duo r34.
  4. I know AMD cpu's and certainly the 7000 series run hot, but I was just wondering, when I should start worrying. I've observed my cpu from the start and in idle everything is fine. At the start it starts to spike around 63 degrees, then it goes back to the stable 45 degrees. Warframe: Now only today, I saw a spike which was the highest it has ever been. 80 degrees. And it was when I was gaming, jumping from loading screen to loading screen. It went up to 80 degrees, and stayed there for couple of seconds, and then backed down to 50 degrees. This isn't so heavy CPU bound. PBO is disabled. It's a waste of energy for me atm. I play at 1080p and the games aren't even heavy. I'll put it on when I need to. Could set it to auto but don't know if that would help... CPUfancurves have been manually adjusted: 30 degrees/35%, 40 degrees/50%, 60 degrees/70% and 80 degrees/100% Now I read everywhere that amd cpu's can get hot, but just to be sure, spikes of 80-85 degrees was still normal right? As long as it doesn't stay there, right? Specs: MSI Tomahawk b650, Ryzen5 7600 non x, Corsair vengeance 32gb DDR5 6000mhz CL30 expo, kingston KC3000 1tb, XFX RX590 (should be a 7700xt soon), fractal design meshify 2, psu: corsair rmx 750w, LG 1080p144hz1ms 24inch display
  5. In a week, I'll buy a sapphire pulse 7700xt. But I don't like it when my system uses too much power. Electricity is expensive where I live so I need to be carefull. This is where undervolting/silent bios mode comes in. However, eventhough, there are guides, I don't thrust myself enough with them. Cause I have half a clue of what I'm doing. So thats why I choose to auto undervolt, which is kind off the easy way. Is silent bios mode going to be a better option? Can I stack both? Is it good or bad? Which way is the best way for energy efficiency while staying cool and quiet? system specs: -R5 7600 non x (no pbo), msi tomahawk b650 wifi, corsair vengeance ddr5 6000mhz cl30 32gb, kingston kc3000 1tb -for the moment, a bad xfx rx590 gpu that makes tons of noises due to fancurve (else it goes to 90 degrees) -1080p144hz1ms 24 inch display from lg (labeled "a" as well) -case: fractal design meshify 2 -psu: corsair rmx 750w 80+ gold
  6. 7600 non x is going to be there untill AM6 is out. Then a year afterwards, AM5 CPU's will be cheaper, by then I can hit one with more cores so that I can get on for a few more years. So this leaves us with the GPU. I guess I need to stretch that extra cash then for a 16gb vram card? Damn, I was hoping to save some here, but meh, I'll try! Thank you for the recommendations!
  7. Yes, I have the case already and the psu, both great. PSU: 750w gold and meshify 2 case. Where I wanted to go with this is a 7600 non x and DDR5 6000mhz cl30 32gb. I was considering the 6700xt since it's so low in price. But for me these major factors count: price, energy efficiency and future proofing (I know this doesn't exist but still, I want to be able to hold on to this for 5+ years) To conclude everything, I'm trying to build a bit of a budget pc but still future proof enough that it still could be viable for the next 5+ years and motherboard and ram even 10 years. So in other words, do I need 16gb of vram for 1080p? Or is 12 enough for 5+ years?
  8. What about the 6750xt for 1080p? It's 480 euro's instead of 600 euro's for the 7800xt. How long can I last with this?
  9. I live in belgium. Pricings are VERY different here. 540 euro's for the 7700xt hellhound and 600 for the 7800xt hellhound. But 493 euro's for the xfx 7700xt qwck and 600 euro's for the 7800xt. In the US, price ranges are way closer... And it was the 6800, which draws way too much power and it does matter because eletrical bills are expensive here just like everything... 6800xt is rare to get and its 650 euro's. 6800 is like 520 or something. Availabilty is super rare here so... 6700xt is cheap but, as I said above, not in my best interest as I would not survive for very long. It was just a matter of choosing the right brand since the prices fluctuate massively here brand vs brand.
  10. Problem is, 6700xt is too low for 1080p144hz. I would not survive 5 years with this... 6800 draws way too much power. And availability is really rare. I can only choose between 6800 sapphire pulse (3 fan design) and xfx 6800 swft (bad cooler) Cpu would be a 7600 non x.
  11. Hi, so there are a few key factors for me when buying a new graphics card. 1) I want to keep it as long as possible 2) Budget 500 euro's (hellhound is 540 because it was sold out in another shop, at this point I can even start looking at 7800xt but only from sapphire pulse) 3) it has to be quiet, cool and the least power draw. This is why I don't like the 6800. But the 16gb of vram is an eyecatcher. 4) I do have a bad experience with xfx but they seem to have made good coolers now. So if needed, I can look into this. The brands I'm keeping an eye out are: Sapphire pulse or hellhound I hoped to buy whatever is cheapest (sapphire pulse). I've watched reviews and Sapphire usually is good enough but for some reason, I don't like the power draw and temps. Hellhound is cooler and has less power draw. So which one?
  12. Ok, I'll go for the msi then. I don't think m.2 gen 5 will be that important for the future and it's on sale and it's cheaper so for me now it's better. Anyway, thanks alot for the help!
  13. Thank you for the fast response. The board is going to be used for a VERY long time since I plan to play all the way untill ryzen 9000 or even 11000 series comes out if it still supports it by then and get one of the last supported AM5 cpu's. What are the bios like? I'm not going to use pbo right away because I don't wanna draw too much power and I wanna keep my cpu cool. But if I do decide to run pbo, VRM cooling would matter right? Well the gigbyte seems to have better VRM cooling, saw it in the "35 motherboards comparison" video. But on the other hand the MSI one is cheaper so... Either way, I just don't wanna miss out on anything for the future...
  14. Hard time choosing. I'm looking at the 7600 and corsair vengaence ddr5 32gb 6000mhz cl30 both on sale atm. Pro's gb b650 aorus elite: -Has gen 5 pcie m.2 support -Better vrm's and faster boot times Cons: -might have coil whine -is more expensive right now... Pro's msi Tomahawk b650 wifi: -Is cheaper 209 euro's instead of 244 euro's -Has some features more... Cons: -slow boot times -no m.2 5.0 I'm not a overclocker, but when push comes to shove, I want to be able to. And even without overclocking, I heard vrm's matter so I'm considering the extra money for the gigabyte aorus elite one since it has better vrm temps of msi aren't too bad either. I have seen the video of the "35 motherboard b650's comparison". In this video it has been said that both boards are good but he prefered the aorus elite because it has gen 5 m.2 support.
  15. Hell no! Thats 100 euro's more sorry, but no can do. I mean at that point I could have gone for a 7800x3d threadripper... If I had the money then yes but I'm on a budget actually... 7600x is only 10 euro's more. Big difference... And you say no asus, Msi then? Or asrock? Cause the board you suggested is m atx... I have atx board right now and m-atx usually isn't even great for future upgrades... Oh well nvm, I'll just go with the R5 7600x
  16. Hi, so I'm looking to upgrade my system in the near future. I'm 1 of those people, who tend to upgrade only once every 8-10 years. This upgrade will cost me much and I do have troubles and am living as always on a budget like many. I was aiming for an R5 7600 but imagine this cpu for the next 8 years. Can it hold? Or would it be better to get the 7600x instead because of the extra "out of the box frequencies"? The 7600 runs also cooler and with less power then the x version. I could also buy an R5 7600 and buy a 9000 series later if needed. If I can safe every penny, I would like to do so, but I would also like to survive for as long as possible. I don't like to overclock unless I have to. I do know the 7600 has PBO, I could turn it on if time asks for this but is it going to be needed? And will it be safe? I have an arctice freezer 34 cpu cooler and a fractal design case. I don't think neither the power (PSU: corsair 750w gold) or the airflow is gonna be a problem but I don't like to pay extra every month on my electrical bill either... For the motherboard I was aiming towards the asus b650 prime. Unless something else would give me more survivability? As for ram I am aiming towards corsair vengaence ddr5 5600mhz. This is purely for gaming. My system now is: Specs i7 6700 non k (2015) Z170 gaming a msi (2015) 16gb ram ddr4 2100 speed (2015) Arctic cooler 34r 1tb, ssd (for games) (2022), spare 1,5tb hdd (2012 but not in use anymore), 240gb ssd (for windows) (2015) XFX rx590 8gb VRAM (downvolted) (2018) Corsair rmx 750w 2021 (2022) Fractal design meshify 2 (2022) Display: LG 24GM79G 24inch 1080p 144hz (2019) Games Currently: Horizon Zero Dawn, Forza Horizon 5, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Warframe, Destiny 2,... Future (looking to play this in max settings at 70-144fps/hz): aaa games like Starfield, Horizon Forbidden West, GTA 6,... unreal engine 5 games
  17. I want it to be sapphire. I have an xfx card and back in the days that was a very cheap brand. It could be that they've stepped up their game but still, sapphire wins in the end for me. I did alot of research about this. I thought so I needed to have a full overhaul. But I don't know if I have enough for that. Its still waiting till december but I might need to pay other things and at that point, I'll need to choose I'm afraid.
  18. I live in Belgium europe but I do have a somewhat online store of a microcenter type ish store, it's not that far but still far enough as I don't drive a car which makes it even more dangerous as I come with busses and os on. I could do it but it's at own risk compared to delivery which is also risky :p... Anyway thanks for the answer. This is really helpfull since the store indeed contains such bundles. 6700xt sounds like a good card, but it needs to be of sapphire so. What I do wonder is what's the best bang for my buck for the future? Because I only upgrade after 10 years or so...
  19. Hi, so I'm thinking about upgrading since my system is getting older. It's still doing great and I love it for that (except my gpu, it's sometimes noisy and not the best choice that I've bought but it does the trick for now). Eventhough it's still living, I sometimes begin to think it's living at the edge. Parts could stop working at any time soon. Or maybe that's just me. But IF I do need to replace/upgrade parts, what are my options? Which parts should I buy in which order if I needed to choose? As many, I too am on a budget. I recently upgraded the case and the psu. There is enough room and power for upgrades. As you can see the specs below, I'm also someone who upgrades only when needed in like 10 years or something. I do however want to have the option to go to 1440p/144hz in the future. Specs i7 6700 non k (2015) Z170 gaming a msi (2015) 16gb ram ddr4 2100 speed (2015) 1tb, ssd (for games) (2022), spare 1,5tb hdd (2012 but not in use anymore), 240gb ssd (for windows) (2015) XFX rx590 8gb VRAM (downvolted) (2018) Corsair rmx 750w 2021 (2022) Fractal design meshify 2 (2022) Display: LG 24GM79G 24inch 1080p 144hz (2019) Games Currently: Horizon Zero Dawn, Forza Horizon 5, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Warframe, Destiny 2,... Future (looking to play this in max settings at 70-144fps/hz): aaa games like Horizon Forbidden West, GTA 6,... Currently looking into (budget): 5600x-B550 (or X570 if better)-DDR4 ram 3600mhz 3060(ti)/3070(ti)/4060/6700XT (this time from sapphire cause I read alot of good about that brand) However I don't want that my new gpu could be damaged by the old motherboard or that my old gpu could damage my new motherboard. I hope this never happens. Thanks in advance!
  20. ok thanks. What do I need to look out for? Recommended I presume?
  21. So I would really love to play this game, Forspoken. Since it's comming out on pc, I would love to play it in the highest settings my pc allows me to without hurting my gpu or cpu. My cpu is/was good but is starting to age and I don't want to hurt it. It's 7 years old together with my motherboard and ram. My gpu is 3 years old so he's starting to age as well. These things are becomming fragile. Braking them would be the last thing I want. I'm too inexperienced to start OC'ing anything and it's not adviced as well since these 2 are old. Someone else did downvolt my gpu but only so that I can buy time for it's life. I came across this site that said it was playable at medium/high: https://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=38007&game=Forspoken&gc_make=ATI&gc_deriv=Radeon+RX+590+XFX+Fatboy+8GB&p_make=Intel&p_deriv=Core+i7-6700+4-Core+3.4GHz&ram=16&screenRes_width_FPS=1920+&screenRes_height_FPS=1080+&checkSubmit=#systemRequirements What would you do if you want to spare the cpu and gpu but maybe still want to play this game? Can I play this game at all? Would you play in these settings or lower or not play the game at all? Which settings would you lower/put on medium, which settings do you put on medium/high? Specs i7 6700 non k Z170 gaming a msi 16gb ram ddr4 2100 speed 1tb, ssd (for games), 1,5tb hdd (old), 240gb ssd (for windows) XfX rx590 (downvolted) Corsair rmx 750w 2021 Fractal design meshify 2 Display: LG 24GM79G 24inch 1080p 144hz
  22. So time doesn't matter with these gpu's then? It's not like the 3070 or 3060ti will last longer then a 3060 in terms of aaa games? That's everything I need to know. Also about bottlenecks, bottlenecks/my motherboard/cpu/ram won't hurt my gpu physically, right? It's just an fps drop right?
