  1. Last questions before I place the order .. I buy the 3700X (3800X not worth the addition, right ?) along with MSI B450 Gaming Plus and Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB RED 3200MHz CL16, will the memory work at it's full potential without having to tweak anything ? Because I heard only B-Die is recommended for Ryzen ...
  2. 9900K is a great choice for an addition of 150$ and 1-3% performance boost at most ? Not worth in my opinion. I think will go with the 3700X + B450 Gaming Plus MSI + 32GB of corsair memory, best combo for the $$$.
  3. I found the LPX one at Amazon de for cheaper than the Pro RGB https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01ARHF6Z4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&th=1 Is there any difference in ICs because the Pro RGB costs 25 euros more than the LPX ? And do I lose anything from taking B450 over X570 ? Like precision boost 2 or other performance issues ?
  4. This one has 7 ports ... https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-B450M-TITANIUM-Motherboard-Processors/dp/B07FQCSVYC/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=B450M Mortar [Titanium]&qid=1562949014&s=gateway&sr=8-1&tag=linustechtips-21 It does support BIOS upgrade without CPU too. What about the VRMs ? And do I lose anything from taking B450 over X570 ? Like precision boost 2 or other performance issues ? The only bad thing about this mobo is that it is small (It will look small in my 780T Corsair case) and all white (My PC is black and red) I will have to change the red leds inside my case to white ... but thats not a big issue if this mobo will perform good, I will also save 85GBP compared to X570 board which is a great save for me Here is another option from the list of supported mobos with BIOS upgrade on the go without CPU - https://www.amazon.de/MSI-B450-Tomahawk-Sockel-Mainboard/dp/B07FQ9ZJD9/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=B450+Tomahawk&qid=1562949707&s=gateway&sr=8-1 From the two above which one would you take ? Looking at more reliable parts like better PCB, VRMs, chokes, capacitors, and of course better support for RAMs and SSDs, etc ...

Considering the MSI X570 Gaming Plus is about 185GBP, I can save a decent amount of money by picking any of these mobos mentioned above ... Which one would you recommend me for the 3700X and Corsair Vengeance Pro memory ? I would pick the MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC but it has only 5 USB ports on the back and I need 6 ....
  6. Thanks for the list, in case I find any of the B450 motherboards (that can have their BIOS upgraded without CPU) on Amazon UK would you recommend me pick one of them instead of the X570 ? For now anyway I cancelled my order on Amazon UK and will wait a week or two for all of the new gen issues to be solved ... with games, windows, and bios ... every other day we hear about another issue ...
  7. Oh, that vengeance LPX does not ship to Israel ... I guess I will have to buy the vengeance pro RGB anyway ...
  8. Actually 1440P put less workload on the CPU but more the GPU, but I still get my CPU maxed out when playing BF V and GTA V, GTA V runs at just 70-80FPS and my GPU at 40-50% while CPU 90-100% ... I will wait another week till all Ryzen issues are resolved, have you heard about X570/Zen 2 issues as mentioned above by LukeSavenije ?
  9. Like which general X570/Zen2 problems ? And isn't the vengeance pro has better ICs for Ryzen compared to regular Vengeance ?
  10. Almost NONE of the motherboards listed on Amazon UK (B450/X470/X570) has this option ...
  11. Yeah the MSI board I attached above should work with Zen 2, but look what I wrote above^
  12. I am looking for the cheapest mobo available on Amazon UK which is the MSI I attached above, is it a bad mobo ? Because in the past I had bad experience with MSI ... I hope they improved.
  13. I live in Israel that is gonna take a while till it arrives I believe so that is not an option for me ?
  14. The RAM is actually one of the cheapest I could find on Amazon UK ... Mobo I could go with X470 but I dont think I can upgrade BIOS without gen1 or 2 CPU ? And I heard there are issues with MSI's X570 boards, is it right ?
  15. I wanted to upgrade my CPU a few months ago to the 9900K but people told me to wait for Zen 2, so here we are, Zen 2 was finally released and I want to make a decision. The reason for the upgrade is sometimes when I run many programs and games and chrome tabs and music in background, my CPU gets to 80-100% (Especially in GTA V and BF V) and also when I start my PC it takes a few minutes till I can use it because the CPU is maxed out at 100% while loading all the programs like steam, origin, Nod32, etc ... I want my PC to feel more smooth so I think it is time to upgrade. My current PC: Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K Processor (4.6GHz @ 1.3V) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 (3x NF-A15) RAM: 32GB 1600 MHz (HyperX Savage) System: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit Graphics Card: GALAX RTX 2080 EX Solid State Drive: Samsung 950 Pro 512GB M.2 PCIe + Samsung 850 Pro 512GB Hard Disk Drive: Western Digital Black 2TB Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Ranger Power Supply: Seasonic G-650 650Watts Case & Case Fans: Corsair 780T Full Tower Red and Black (4x Noctua NF-S12A, 3x Corsair AF140) Fan Controller: NZXT Sentry 3 I mainly use my PC for heavy multitasking (Many programs run in background and many chrome tabs as mentioned above) and gaming (GTA V, CSGO, LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, FORTNITE, BF V), because I want to "feel" the upgrade I will go with the 3700X instead of 3600X which is cheaper and may still fit for purpose. Since I don't have previous AMD build I will have to buy X570 mobo because I don't want to deal with BIOS updates when I don't have a compatible CPU to upgrade the mobo. Here are the parts I am going to purchase (Even though I had bad experience with MSI motherboards in the past - this is the cheapest board I could find at Amazon UK). Please tell me if they will all fit together, especially the RAM with the MOBO. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07SYSXQSY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GSKGSM6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Ryzen-3700X-Processor-Cache/dp/B07SXMZLPK/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=3700X&qid=1562944892&s=gateway&sr=8-1 I'm going to upgrade just these three parts, and will keep my SSDs, HDDs, Case and case fans, GPU, CPU Cooler, and Power supply. My rig is 4.5 years old except the PSU which is 3.5 years old, is it okay to keep the PSU or should I buy something newer ? And what do you think about the motherboard and RAM that I picked ? One more question, when will DDR5 will be released to consumers ? I don't think I will wait till then, because if I will keep waiting for new stuff I won't ever buy new hardware. Last question, will I have compatibility issues with my MOBO and RAM and my Samsung 950 Pro ? This SSD is quite old and one of the first NVME SSDs. Thanks in advance for the help !!
  16. It says 11-12-12 with 1.6V in HyperX site for the 2133MHz model. I did 11-11-11-30 2133MHz with 1.6V - Crashed the moment desktop showed up. Then I did 1.65V and seems to be "stable" (should test it), is it dangerous to run it at 1.65V (This particular memory model), I am a bit worried that it will shorten their life ... Should I try to go any higher ? Like 12-12-12-33 2400MHz ? Or tighten timings on 2133MHz ?
  17. https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX321C11SR_8.pdf https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX316C9SR_8.pdf I have the 1600MHz model (4X8GBs - 32GB total), but they seem to be identical (exact same memory chips, just different configurations), would that be possible to put manually the XMP profile of the 2133 model in my BIOS and it will work good ? I just have to increase the volts (from 1.5 to 1.6), speed (from 1600 to 2133) and timings. What are the chances of destroying the memory ?
  18. Is this kit good for either Intel or Ryzen ? https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B016ORTNI2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&psc=1 This is the 3200MHz 16CL, the 3000MHz CL15 costs 30 euro less Such 3200MHz corsir kit costs 500euro in my country ...
  19. I still doubt whather I pick the Ryzen or Intel, but I want a B-die memory in case I get the Ryzen, from what I understood it has better stability.
  20. Can you recommend me a good cheap b-die memory ? When I say cheap I mean around the price of this memory https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-2x16GB-3200MHz-Memory-CMK32GX4M2B3200C16/dp/B016ORTNI2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539814918&sr=8-1&keywords=Corsair+Vengeance+LPX+32GB
  21. it's not about that, 2700X is kind of downgrade from i7 4790K when it comes to gaming ...
  22. Hey guys, My current rig is an i7 4790K, 32GB of Ram, 650W G-650 Seasonic GOLD, EVGA GTX 1070 FTW, the reason I am upgrading is that I often max out my CPU (90-100% usage) while playing games and tons of apps and 30-40 chrome tabs run in background, I feel like it's the right time to make an upgrade. So I am planning to buy new combo (Memory + Mobo + CPU), I was thinking about getting the i9-9900K to actually feel the improvement, corsair vengeance 2X16GB 3000MHz CL15 (Found a good price on them, are they good ?), and motherboard will be Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro, is this combo good for 8-10 hours a day of gaming, and heavy multitasking ? Should I change my mobo to something from Asus or the Gigabyte mobo is good enough ?
