  1. Listening to Linus on a recent Wan show I feel he hits a good point when it comes to E waste just wondering what people repurpose their old electronics for ?
  2. Yeah everything is connected correctly and the next cam software is set to silent mode. Could it be a thermal paste issue or is it normal for the 3600 to run hot all the time ?
  3. Hello all, I have had my nzxt kraken x53 for around 6 months now and it has never been very quiet. It always is ramping the fans up and down and to be honest I thought it would be silent compared to the normal cpu fan. I have a ryzen 3600 I only really play games like CIV 6 and RTS games but these fans will ramp up and down even if the PC is sitting idle. Has anyone else had the same issue with their nzxt kraken x53 ? Should I look at alternatives for something that is more silent ?
  4. I've spent a lot of time recently playing some old games with my kids like commander keen and the incredible machine I think they are great but very underrated what games do you think are very underrated ?
  5. I manage to sort the problem out my DP lead must not be great quality I purchased a decent one and all is working @TofuHaroto
  6. I just used DDU to remove old drivers for a fresh start once that finished i shut my pc down and plugged in my DP cable and i could get back into windows this time i let windows update handle the install as soon as it updated i lost signal again. So i repeated the same process but i downloaded an older version of Nvidia 441.20 and as soon as it installs the graphics driver i lose the DP but i still have HDMI. The power supply worked fine with the GTX 960 so i dont think thats an issue. I dont have another system to try it on at the moment any ideas would help cheers @TofuHaroto
  7. Hello all, I recently purchesed at Gigabyte 1660 Super to replace my GTX 960 i use two monitors that are connented via DP to HDMI leads on my GTX 960 this worked fine. When i plugged in my 1660 via the DP cable i see the boot screen but once i flick over to windows i loose all display output, I then power down and changed it to a single HDMI cable out to my monitor and it works i installed all the current Nvidia drivers and it works well on 1 HDMI cable so i restarted my machine but swapped out the HDMI to the DP cable and i still have the same issue. I dont think my card is dead ( but i could be wrong ) i can see when it post via the DP once it flicks over to windows no luck any help would be apprecitated my set up is : Ryzen 3600 Tomahawk b450 Max Motherboard bios version is 7C02v35 16 GB ram Thermaltake 600 watt Antec Power supply GTX 1660 Super driver version 446.14
  8. Hello All i have a mate coming over for the weekend we used to play alot of red alert back in the day and I was thinking maybe I could run 2 systems off the one CPU to do this. My question is it easy to do or a pain I'm not good with Linux so I don't think I could go down that path also my hardware is a 4690k with 24Gb memory and a GTX960 is this enough ? Cheers
  9. Recently my Google Pixel XL decided it had enough of life and gave up. So I decided to have a look at a new phone looking between the s9 and S10 i could justify the price for something the will most likely break with in 24 months. I looked at all the flagship phones they have all shot up in price and to be honest I ended up with a Motorola G6 and to my surprise it runs really well for a $300 phone. There must be a point where we say no to the manufacturers that $2k for a mobile phone is unacceptable.
  10. Good on them I've given up on mobile gaming it's becoming a joke how much people need to pay to play now
  11. Personally I don't think VR will ever take off I consider it too be like 3D movies we all know it's there but alot of people don't want to use it even if they lowered the cost. As for the question what does it look like in the future i would think once the battle royal movement is over there will another multiplayer genre that will come
  12. If unreal engine and unity are both supporting Ray tracing in there engines I would bet that's where it's heading
  13. Hello all, I have 2 qnap Nas systems in my house I have them both mapped to windows the issue is when I log onto windows it won't connect to any of the nas systems because it won't remember my credentials. What would be a good fix for this ?
