  1. Recently got a 5600(non-x) but I'm stil using the same ram, corsair vengeance lpx 2666MHz CL18. I quit often see stutters and fps drops and I've seen in various places how memory affects ryzen performance, even more so with newer gen being able to handle faster speeds. Would a faster kit help with this?
  2. Solved: I set all PBO settings back to "auto" and set a voltage offset of +0.05V, idk if it is needed but that is to validate another time. TLDR: Don't touch settings you dont understand
  3. Just got a 5600(non x). Running cinebench r23, the reported frequency from task manager is barely 4GHz and the result matches around 9500 when it should be 11000. HWInfo reports an "active clock" of the expected 4.4GHz but the "effective clock" matches task manager at around 4.0 and below. It's running at max 60C under full load so no thermal throttling. It is also only drawing 65W at max despite my previous 2600 being able to draw up to 105W with no issues stability or otherwise. Have I missed some bios settings?
  4. But would there be a point of that instead of just initialising the new ssd as GPT and cloning?
  5. If I clone my current MBR ssd to a new GPT ssd will I have to reinstall windows?
  6. would it be better to clone then run mbr2gpt on the new ssd running from the old ssd as I've read that it's not a good idea converting the drive your running os from?
  7. I'm considering buying a new m.2 ssd for boot and programs and keep my current ssd as fast storage for my main games. I also recently noticed I've been running in legacy bios on my ssd and I want have my new ssd in GPT so I can use UEFI bios mode. Would it be possible to have the new ssd in GPT and still be able to clone the data to it from a MBR ssd?

  9. Good point. Thanks for reminding me. I probably will change to zen2 when they're fully released.
  10. The cpu is added as a custom part because pcpart picker doesn't have the 1600 af officially

  12. It's already overclocked from 2666 . I was sure that one of the tools I mentioned showed the doubled speed at sometime while I was overclocking and was a bit confused when I was looking through HWInfo recently.
  13. Thanks for confirming, I was sure atleast one of these tools showed the doubled speed at sometime and was confused.
  14. Every tool I have (CPUZ, HWINFO, task manager, ryzen master) shows my memory as 1500MHz instead of 3000MHz. I know task manager is innacurate most of the time but even the more advanced tools show it as 1500MHz and was wondering if that's correct.
