My brother is a lighting tech for concerts and thinking about either getting another GTX 1080 ti or the RTX 2080 ti, Having one 1080 ti doesn't run as smooth as he would like.
If he upgrade to the RTX he said he would give me his 1080. I just need to find out if the ray tracing would help with software he use ( Vectorworks 2018, WYSIWYG, Cinema 4d and after effects)
I'm thinking since ray tracing supposed to be better at tracing lights it should be better, but i would feel like shit if i tell him to get it and it end up doing nothing. I would love to hear you opinion and thoughts about if it would be better for the software he use.
P.S. He doesn't play games just use it for lighting.
