  1. Hi guys, old overclocker here, i just bought 2 months ago a 8600k i5 for my computer, paired with an ASROCK z370 extreme4 motherboard. At first i was a big disappointed because of the super hot temps that were reaching between 80-83C with a 5ghz overclock with 1.28V LLC 2, no avx. So i was forced to delid this thing. After the delid the temps were great, below 70C with the same speed, so i went to try my luck on the silicon lotto with good results. The chip was able to pull a 5.3ghz OC with only 1.35V no avx/uncore clock 51x, with temps below 75C. I even tried 5.5ghz with 1.47V just for epeen show on HWbot. the 5.3ghz overclock worked great for 1 month and a half, so i decided to play with the BLCK. I am using a 5.4ghz overclock with 102 BLCK and 1.395V , no avx, unclock 51x. So far so good, it seems stable... but this is the question i want to make to people that bought this chip before me: It is safe to keep it on 1.395V ??? will my chip degradate way faster than with 1.35v ? I will love to hear some comments, because despite the placebo effect, the overclock feels a bit tad responsive with the extra BLCK and 5.4ghz. The benchmarks are a bit further too.
  2. I got a golden chip with my i5 8600k, i can OC to 5ghz with 1.29V stable. I don't know if i should use 1.42V for 24/7 use at 5.4ghz, my current stable overclock for daily use is 5.3ghz at 1.355V. Haven't got any crash since i did my benchmark. I can even do 5.5ghz @1.47V stable below 80C, here some pics. (off course the chip is delid) Here are the pics, from left to right: 5.3@1.355V no AVX Uncore x51 , 5.5Ghz @ 1.47V 5.3@1.355V no AVX Uncore x51 (is actually a top 10 in hwbot amateur rank) and finally the 5.00ghz no AVX uncore x48@ 1.29V Should is try 5.4ghz with 1.4V
