AshleyPhilips's Achievements

  1. Anyone not a troll know the procedure to have my wifi not linked at 1MBps. Should only be 1.5 but the extra .5 is a lot when downloading 55 steam games that Mint 19 can run. 2. I have only one program I want to use on Linux from Windows and there is no Linux distro. It's a writing program and .msi installer. Can someone point me in the best direction to use the program on Mint 19? I'm trying to walk away from windows. This is the program: https://www.novel-software.com/ I already paid 40$ for it or else I'd say foget aboud it. 3. I already have both. Thanks for the nonsense reply.
  4. I'm trying to step away from prying Windows eyes. I've installed Mint 19 Cinnamon 64bit on a fairly new, old hardware build. I have a Evga 750ti SC and a re-branded () 460 (claiming to be a 560 on the box). In windows 8.1 and 10, the 460 (I'll call it what it is), beats the 750. I haven't figured out how to install any graphics drivers for the 460 but maybe the generic are better anyway? Nvidia puts out drivers for linux, right? Would the 750 do better in Mint 19? Only 25% of my steam library is supposedly playable on Linux and out of two games I've tried to install only did. Well 2 of 3, I just checked for the hek of it. I am not a quitter but it's sure a pain to switch from Windows to Linux! I have licenses for Windows 8.1 Pro and 10 Pro. I know these OS pretty well. Both are filled with telemetry. Dirty dogs.
