  1. Would a half-decent DAC be able to remove the coil wine? I have read some people can get rid of it with those. Although honestly I have no experience with that kind of stuff. I'm more of a casual tech fan. I saw this on Amazon. Not sure if it's any good. Suggestions? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018JUPY3A/?coliid=I2HD9OWJIBUS8F&colid=142WQC5GHFR4A&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  2. It's a 3.5 however it's still there even when Unplugged. Read it might be my mobo sending it through audio. But it wasn't there before my PSU died on the 780 Ti. Could be the PSU some say. But my other PSU died so I can't test it. Some said it could be a grounding loop. Might try to get something to take that out of the equation.
  3. Sorry for the poor video quality by the way. Just trying to use my phone. It's the line of black chips towards the last couple seconds.
  4. A while back I started getting new upgrades for my PC. My PSU died so I figured while I was at it I'd get a 1080 Ti since they dropped from $1,200 to $550. But I've been getting a constant buzzing as long as any game is open. Browsing the internet nothing happens though. So while I'm not advanced at tech I tried some basic stuff. Nothing works. So here is a list of what I've noticed and tried. Maybe someone can figure it out. -As soon as I boot up a game the GPU starts buzzing and you can hear it through headphones attached to the computer. -The buzz goes up and down with FPS. -Looking around I saw a sound card might help. It didn't. -Buzz gets louder when you go into sounds and listen to the mic. -Changing mic/headphones bit rate changed the sound of the buzz slightly on a few options but never went away. -Disabling other devices -Tried unplugging front panel audio. -Unplugged mic and it's phantom power supply. -Plugged PC directly into wall instead of 6 way. -V Sync does nothing. -Put my old 780 Ti in and it buzzed too. -Others in discord can hear it through my mic. -Using wireless headphones I don't hear the buzz unless I listen to mic. I think I've done more but listing it all out I'm having a hard to remembering. Any and all suggestions appreciated. Link to short 18 second video of the buzz and me trying to show the black chips on the back I think are the source of the buzz. https://youtu.be/qdTHPZgQskI
  5. I appreciate all the feedback and I will definitely take it all into consideration. And actually I saw that Tomb Raider gameplay before. If I'm not mistaken that's with the ray tracing stuff active isn't it? Meaning without it on it's supposed to be better than a 1080 TI. But with it on and running those games it kind of runs like crap. I'm still hoping to wait for reviews before jumping. I'm especially interested in Linus and Jayz opinions and testing as I'm not that knowledgeable myself. I pretty much expected the new lighting and shading stuff to blow. But I usually turn Shadows off anyways if it affects performance too much. My goal is to simply max out my monitor mentioned in Op without melting the card.
  6. Greetings, long time fan first time poster. I can't seem to find a decent answer elsewhere on the net so I figured I might get a decent answer here. I am currently running a 780 Ti which surprisingly has held up great for the last 5 years at 1080p 60hz. However, I recently bought a new 1440p 144hz G Sync monitor and it is crushing the poor thing. I got excited when I heard about the new graphics cards coming out but not really sure if I should jump on the bandwagon and get a 2080 or just buy a decently priced 1080 Ti. I would prefer to be future proof for several years if possible as I'm sure you can guess I don't upgrade often. Just looking for some advice on what to buy.
