  1. Hello, I'm planning on upgrading my PC that consists of an i7 4770, 16gb ram, and a RX 480 4gb, on an MSI H81M-P33 motherboard. Mainly looking to get those replaced, first the main trio of CPU, MB and ram, then in a month a GPU. I live in Serbia, where parts usually go a bit more than the US or the EU. My budget is very limited to 260€ for CPU, MB and ram, and isn't stretchable, and can't wait and save for better parts. I use my PC mostly for gaming and for web browsing, nothing besides that. First build I'm considering is: Ryzen 5 5600 for 150€ Gigabyte A520M H for 70€ Silicon Power 3200MHz 2x8gb ram for 35€ Total : 255€ This is the one I'm mostly leaning towards as it's a safe and strongest option, since the retailer that's selling the parts offered to update the bios so the motherboard can run the Ryzen 5 5600. There is also a BIOSTAR B550MH for the price of 75€, from another retailer, since the first one doesn't have it but I've read online that BIOSTAR is really unreliable, especially when it comes to motherboards on the low end. And it would be purchased from another retailer that doesn't do bios upgrades and I don't have a earlier gen Ryzen chip to use it so I can do it myself, making it a gamble if the motherboard already ships with updated bios. The second build is: Ryzen 5 5500 for 110€ GigaByte B550M DS3H / GigaByte B550M K / Asus PRIME B550M-K / Asus PRIME B550M-A or MSI Pro B550M-P GEN3 which all go for 110€ Silicon Power 3200MHz 2x8gb ram for 35€ Total : 255€ Same situation as the first build, the retailer offered to update the bios if necessary for the CPU to work. I also have no idea what the differences in these motherboards are, except what connectors they come with. The third build is: Intel i5 11400f for 130€ MSI B560M PRO-E for 90€ Silicon Power 3200MHz 2x8gb ram for 35€ Total : 255€ From what I've read and seen this one will work out of the box, no updates required. These three are the ones I'm torn between. Next month I plan on getting a used RX 6600 for around 170€ to pair it with one of these builds, and play new titles in 1080p on med to ultra settings. So that's why I'm looking for assistance here, I don't know which one of these three options I should go for, as they're all kind of similar in performance, and same in price. If any other info is needed I'm more than glad to provide it.
  2. Hello to everyone, I am having a rather weird problem. My internet cuts out for a good 10 seconds when I play a YouTube video (happens 1 out of 10 times with short videos and like 1 in 5 times with longer videos) or when I download a torrent, or when I upload content like streaming on Twitch or Discord. Only happens in those circumstances, rest is fine, can play 4k videos on other platforms and can download without a problem on Steam or Epic. My other computer that is connected to the same router has no issues like this at all, and when it happens on my computer, internet on the other computer is fine and works perfectly, so does on my smartphone that is connected to the wifi. Switching and changing the ethernet cables changed nothing, and changing the ports in the router did nothing as well. My ISP tried to fix it but even they don't know why that is happening. The only thing that comes to mind is that is something wrong with the motherboard, which in my case is an MSI B85M-P33 (BIOS v4.2) with an Intel i7 4770 CPU and 8GB of dual channel 1600hz RAM. I do not have another motherboard for that socket to test, so I am asking you educated people on here if you know what can be done to narrow down the problem with the motherboard.
  3. Mainly so the motherboard can support the refresh i7 4790 and the general improvements, maybe that can fix it not wanting to boot from SSD
  4. Hello, my motherboard is MSI B85M-P33 and on the version 4.2, while the newest BIOS version is 4.9. Now if I want to update it, do I have to flash it in order, like go 4.2>4.3>4.3>etc>4.9, or can I go straight for 4.2>4.9?
  5. No not legacy. it's the 18.11.1 version, HD 7000 series is still supported asaik. I already downloaded the install for the RX 480 and will now do the DDU on the current drivers. Better be safe then sorry
  6. Asking cause I am getting an RX 480, but have an HD 7790 with Radeon drivers up to date, but want to do some testing on the RX 480 before I buy it to see if it works fine
  7. If for example I have a RX 460 and decided to upgrade to a let's say RX 580 and my AMD drivers are already up to date with the RX 460, will a full driver uninstall be required or will a new GPU like the RX 580 work fine without a driver uninstall and reinstall?
  8. Also MSI B450M PRO is 100$ here new, which is double the price of Newegg
  9. I'm from Europe, Serbia (Not in the Union), and prices are heavily inflated here, the cheapest B350 motherboard is around 85$ while R5 1600x is 160$ (New but imported from a neighboring country, so no warranty, while a new one from a certified seller is 200$ with warranty), add 8GB of at least 2666MHz and that's another 100$, so totaling around 350$ which is 100$ above what I am able to spend on a CPU+MB+Ram combo. A Ryzen 5 1400 build with a Biostar A320 motherboard and 8GB 2400MHz would be within my budget. Or I could get an i7 4770/4790 instead of the i5 4690, since a couple of those popped up yesterday and today for a reasonable price.
  10. Yeah I guess I'll go for the 3770, I also saw some videos where the i5 4690 was having spikes cause of only having 4 cores, in newest AAA titles
  11. Want to get one of these 2 CPUs to go along with an RX 480 and upgrade my FX 6300, both are a similar price and the motherboards that go with them are also around the same price, but I cannot decide which to buy. Cheapest possible new AMD Ryzen build (CPU MB RAM) would be around 260$, while the cheapest Intel (CPU MB RAM) build would be around 370$, while one of these used cpu and a compatible mb would be around 160-180$. I did think about a i7 4770 but its price is too high, costing around 200$. I mainly use my PC for gaming and sometimes use it for school work but that mostly consists of writing papers, I never do rendering only from time to time, once a year, if I make a nice play in a game and I want to share it and show it to my friends, so that should not be a factor. I do plan on playing the new games coming out like Cyberpunk 2077, Doom, Battlefield etc. and the ones that are currently new like Assassins Creed, Fallout, while also mostly playing Overwatch or League. I read on a couple of websites that the i5 has better single core performance which helps in games but the i7 and its hyperthreading is still good but will be a lot better for future games which will utilize hyperthreading a lot more. What would you guys think and recommend I do?
