I did it some time ago now but we built our own thing. Temps are way better than before and I think the 7700hq isn't throttling anymore. We had to sacrifice some I/o though because of the flimsy connectors. My friend printed vents for the case.

I'm not quite sure how to start a build log. I just had the idea a while back to convert my MSI Stealth because it has very good hardware but it suffers from high temps and also it is jet taking off loud unter stress. I started this project with a friend of mine and we already have some results(against most odds we got it booting again). If you guys are interested, I will make this a detailed build log. So tell me if it would be interesting for you and I will then write something and upload a few pictures. I give you one Picture for reference. I look forward to your replies. Cheers

Even without any oc? Im afraid I would have to change the board to something else. Would b350 do any good? I couldn't find exact differences between b350 and x370 Or: Could I manually put heat sinks in the VRMs?

Hi everyone, I have a huge problem that nobody can solve nor explain. I have a Ryzen system, that recently got an upgrade for the PC (new motherboard and PSU, also custom loop). Now since then the CPU downclocks under load in Windows 10 after a few minutes without OC and after a few seconds with OC, Utilization just drops and clock speeds go down to 2,6ish Ghz.
