  1. I'm still looking a a couple boards but the mortar max is by far the front runner I like that its not a super basic board but still quality.
  2. B550 isn't compatible with ryzen 2000 chips.
  3. Nothing wrong with the ones you suggested I was just interested in learning why you said some where bad since I don't know a ton about motherboards when you get into things like vrms. I will admit I was loving the RGB on the steel legend but am able to resist the RGB syrin song. I also do want more than a basic board so I'm really leaning toward a mortar max but if I do go with it I'll probably hold off until cyber Monday to try and get a deal.
  4. how much better is the pro 4 than the steel legend? right now they are about the same price.
  5. Yea I learned it doesn't but pc parts picker lists them as compatible which fooled me into thinking they where, but after testing again with a friends newer pcie wifi card i think it will work for me so i have more board options now. as for the aorus i have no experience with that exact board what issues does it have, im open to other brands but gigabyte is my preference.
  6. I did a little digging and found what i needed it wasnt listed on pc parts picker but amazon has it https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B450-AORUS-PRO-WIFI/dp/B07FW85VFT/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=B450M+DS3H+WIFI&qid=1603088358&s=electronics&sr=1-2 i hope i can run Ethernet someday but im not in the same building as my router. thank you guys for all the help saved me a headache sice i was looking at some b550 board as pc parts picker lists it as compatible with the r7 2700x.
  7. the issue is range, on board wifi can pickup mysignal but a wifi card wont. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/kcCFf7/asrock-b450mac-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b450mac this board is in stock and has wifi but im not sure how good of a board it is.
  8. I'm currently on gigibyte ab350n gaming wifi https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4YkwrH/gigabyte-ga-ab350n-gaming-wifi-rev-10-mini-itx-am4-motherboard-ga-ab350n-gaming-wifi-rev-10 and im far enough away for a router that pcie cards dont get great signal.
  9. I'm in America. I'm not apposed to B550/x570 I just don't want to go super basic and need to have on board wifi and a micro atx format since ethernet isn't possible for me and I already have the case since I'm upgrading not building fresh.
  10. Im looking for a good budget under $150usd micro atx B450 board with on board wifi, I'll be running an R7 2700X. Does anyone have any suggestions to look at?
  11. Im trying to set up a need boot drive on my pc i have a new ssd with a fresh windows 10 install that i can boot from and i can see my other drives but im not sure how to access my stuff or inport my desktop.
  12. i ended up getting a G2A key and borrowing an install media disk, its a shame i have to go to these lengths but since this is a control cumputer for a CNC machine i need windows 7 or XP
  13. i never said legal just didnt want my card info stolen but i got one off G2A for $13
